Well it is moderated, just, the mods wont do their job and moderate it. Keep the cafe as it is, but highly moderated.

(btw guys, moderating the chat has nothing relating to moderating the cafe? you can compare but it does not give any useful answer? Like sure, maybe the chat is not moderated as well as the cafe, so? What does the data we have serve to the question of "moderation of cafe"?)
Anyways, back on topic:

I understand from Cafe that it is a short lived conversation between players and I think its harmless, I mean some of you had bonds with one another through Cafe and there are nice topics.
However, Cafe can be abused with hate messages and other negativity and I assume most of these people got away with it because these chats are short lived and probably would be gone before moderators could ban the topic and player (another assumption that moderators maybe busy with their own work and have to use /silence)

I will be frank but most (not all) of the topics lack any discussions. Some are self promoting their youtube channels, some just have a title saying "bang" and theres nothing to discuss about, some tried to put something 'meaningful" like :"Goodbye our world" and just ...?? what?
Cafe is indirectly encouraging spam, this encourages some young players to abuse it by trying to get attention just by saying meaningless words to the internet because they know no matter what, their words could be seen, which boost their ego and could further lead to more immature behaviors.

Maybe i am paranoid but not much of the older players really like these behavior. Some nice one would do what you say: "don't like it, don't go there". Some are vocal and criticize on these and have a heated argument which further divides to community, and that is what worries me.
Our community is not together, we find more things to complain, we love to bully others because we can and there is not serious penalty for doing that. Transformice is a harmless game that encourages creativity and building friendship but look at the Steam negative reviews and you see people complaining of the bad community. If I was a new player and i looked at the Cafe, i would generalize this game to be bad because of how immature these players are, new players are judging the game by community and not by what you can potentially do in the game.

I know not all of you are bad people, there are nice discussions and nice people there but the some of the things in cafe are just making Transformice looks like a joke. It is true that the chat is just as bad and i mean those "meaningless" threads are just harmless fun. But it is just "fun" for the person that is typing it, what about the reputation to the game itself? it is not nice to think something of the lines of "801 is the company that makes games filled with immature and toxic players, dont play their games".

TL;DR: Majority of the topics in cafe are just spam and some having hate messages, This can tarnish 801's name and games and discourages new players from playing due to the toxic and immature community. This also further divides the community and we can't be united
