[Suggestion] Bump. |

Don't you sometimes get annoyed when your thread is getting dead and you were the last comment? Well this would be perfect. On the suggestions page, your thread will have a little tick box once nobody has commented on it for three days. This will allow you to take your thread to the top. If you have had a comment or a bump in less than three days, you may not do this and won't be given the box. This is to avoid trollers and spammers. /Support Moshimoshiz /Nosupport Dernière modification le 1417256760000 |

So only the last comment holder has the box? Or the creator of the thread, too? |

Some of the forums move slow so it is expected to not see a lot of activity depending on who you are. The only time you ever really need to bump a thread up is when it falls off the first page. Given how much time that takes (Depending on the forum/thread/person.) bumping would not really be necessary until then. Even if you need to bump, you can always do it the non-spam way by just staying relevant to the thread while making a new post. Like posting a new doodle in your art thread or a map in the Map Editor. Dernière modification le 1417280640000 |

Yeah but you could also just post something relevant to the thread to bump it...? If it's your own thread like your own suggestion or art thread, you are allowed to double post if you have something important to add... (Probably if you're on the 4th or 5th page as well.) |

emmyemmyblue a dit : If it was your thread and you had something to add to it, you could still double post... |

You can't, can you? |

i can only think of this system being helpful in Suggestion sub forum, but you can just post pictures to show your idea, or ask people to take a look at your thread. but tbh i don't think this is needed Dernière modification le 1417290420000 |

emmyemmyblue a dit : Well, if it's a thread you made and it's gotten back a few pages, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get warned by a sentinel if you added something relevant to the discussion to bring it back up. If it's so far back that it's hard to find, chances are people won't even see it to post in it... So I don't think double-posting would be a problem. I think it's just bad when someone continuously posts, "bump :D" in posts to bring them back up, because it becomes spam. |

Lol I like how you're just suggesting this because one of your threads is dying and you were the last post. shardpixel a dit : Um or you can just click on edit and add something. Dernière modification le 1417309020000 |

Editing your post does not bump your thread up to the top results though. Dernière modification le 1417302720000 |

inthebin a dit : Then advertise your thread somewhere (I don't know if that's allowed actually) or deal with it. |

puffpapa a dit : Advertising isn't allowed, and I think you'd rather double post on your thread with something beneficial than not ever posting and having your thread never see the light of day again... I'm sure you'd love to deal with your suggestion threads dying and never coming back unless you double post in them. Dernière modification le 1417302900000 |

shardpixel a dit : I see your point but you could always ask other people for their input so they can stay relevant to the topic while bumping, or you can ask Lemodile to add the suggestion to the suggestion list and hope that one day someone will run across it. Also, if you REALLY didn't want your thread to get lost forever, then I suggest not commenting on it at all in the case that it ever gets lost one day. Dernière modification le 1417311180000 |

If this were to become a feature, people would likely end up bumping every post they have as soon as they can, which'd just end up being an endless loop and would completely defeat the purpose of newer threads or replies to existing ones showing the threads up at the top of the list. If you have something to add to the thread or continue the discussion then most of the time that's fine if it's been a while since the last post, but if no-one's posted then they probably don't have anything to say. I see several topics from 4-5 pages back get replies every day, I really don't think this is necessary. |
