Often times referred as the international server, EN includes people all over the world. Contrastingly, the forums has a different definition of EN, referring only to English speakers. This often leads to a lot of confusion when some people log in to a game thinking that EN is English-only and/or people speaking languages other than English post topics/comments on the EN forums. Should there be a change to how this abbreviation is used throughout all of A801?

I don't think so, considering that the EN servers are international english (british flag) and english (US flag), both with primarily english speakers
the EN forum section is english only

i do think that the flags should be switched though, as in the US flag should be international english and the british flag should be english only

EN2 is english only.

but that's not the case for the forums.
EN is english only on here, while EN is international ingame.

i agree with sock, the flags should be switched to prevent further confusion.

I would suggest changing the name International English to simply International, with a universal flag that doesn't refer to a single country (blue background with cheese in the middle). E2 can then be renamed EN server and thus be consistent with the forums.

Personally i hate how it's currently set up with EN not really being an English server but E2 being it. I completely agree with what Anythin said above, that solution would be best, it'd bring the English community closer together and be a lot less confusing.

That said, I think it's also odd having an international server and international rooms (prefixed with *), if it ever came to it I think it'd be cool to use these international rooms for an international server

But if we switch the EN and the EN2 communities then wouldn't it cause confusion for the users...right? I mean yeah it makes more sense if they would be switched but honestly these server name has been around for years now and the years already understand which one is which. Like i said before...switching the name of the servers would confuse the users on which server is international and which server is just English...

I don't see why people can't get used to things if everything is explained plainly

How can one be confused about which server is which when one is called International and the other one is called EN?

I feel like it wouldn't hurt to change EN to IN and E2 to EN.
Players would catch on quickly and it would stop people from complaining about non-English speakers on the international community.

They'll get confuse if you switch it cuz some users will believe that the new EN is still international

Why would they if there's an actual international server?
Those not speaking English in public rooms can get reported and quickly learn that it is not international
