For the past few days that i've been replaying Transformice i've been thinking, what is exactly, or well. Will be the future of the game? Will it just keep on having ~2 thousand players at peak on steam or will it maybe reinvent itself? Have there been any major insane news from the developers? Is the website version going to be brought back with some magical way? ... answer below. |

I dont know if developers give any message But In my opinion I guess the games players will be decreased because of hackers and bugs etc What do you think? |

I wish they would perhaps revive the mobile version and revive the website transformice. Perhaps with some advertising too. I know it'd probably cost a lot but still, i wish they did something else other than events. |

imo, tfm will most likely not make it after 2023. it's amazing how it's still around to this day with a semi-active player base, but i don't really see this game going anywhere after 2023. |

game's been dying for a while now, i don't see it lasting much longer forum's basically abandoned, rooms seem mostly empty besides the typically large rooms (such as vanilla1), and in general it feels like it doesn't have much of a future left i'm not too certain though, i haven't been active in a while and maybe it's not as bad as i think it is, but like i mentioned it's been dying for a while now if i had to make a guess, later this year or 2024 would be when it finally closes it's doors who really knows though, perhaps something will happen that'll re-spark interest in this game and it'll continue on for another couple years. i don't see it happening myself though |

Helloo! Gotta do a tiny introduction here. I’ve been playing this game anywhere between 2013-2017. Although, not many would know me, new or old players, maybe some will remember(before name change I used to go under the name Supertedooo, yeah cringe name, I know). I used to play the game for a few years as it was incredibly popular at the time and made many friends with whom we have moved past this game 6-7 years ago for a few reasons. First of all, the game has been sitting in a state of no change since at least 2016. The seasonal events keep getting repeated with only a few changes done, such as; titles, badges and furs. The gameplay is the same with no new ideas brought and even if they are, they’d pretty much be shot down. Some useful features removed as they were not properly given a thought of. Tig’s idea of creating games without focusing on the main income for the time that the game had its peak. The only focus that there is, is to create cosmetics and put them behind a timer and as soon as it passes, you’ve got to wait until god knows how long they would bring it back. A while back, buying cosmetics didn’t use to be like this. If a certain item has been added to the game, you could of bought it even if it was 2 months late, but now you’d have to make the purchase before the time runs out. This idea was scrapped, but then brought back. Events.. Like I said, they were on a constant loop since at least— 2016. We actually had those “weekly events”, but the idea was wasted in a light speed. Those events could of been added to the main ones and even now, there would be a lot remaining. Not only that, there used to be a thread to share our ideas for events, and we for a fact did. Only a few of them got implemented, and that’s fine. However, there are so many ideas that were given from the community at the time, and they could of been of use either back then, or now. But will that happen? Unlikely… Also, a large proportion of the community has not been handled properly especially during active staff period. I know that, A801 and the staff are doing whatever they could, however, I don’t want to sugar coat the issues. Many players quit, either from boredom, or have grown up, or simply because the passion they had for this game has gone. Personally, I believe that if the game was handled properly, and at least, have A801 engage with the players from time to time, there could of been hope, the truth is that the situation is grim. We also believed the game will die a while back, and was discussing things from the sort of “give it 2 years and it will shut down”. Reality is that we were proven wrong, but at the same time it made us realize that the downfall of the game is likely not going to be turning the game off, but rather, continuing the same old story. Repeat the events that were used in the past, while introducing new cosmetics. Many other games Tig has created, such as Nekodancer, Bouboom, Fortoresse and also another one that I forgot its name(was basically a zombie survival), don’t have any players for years. The games will remain obsolete. TFMA? It had a bright future, and was heavily supported, but the end goal wasn’t met and it just died, never to be released. I don’t know what Tig is doing at the moment, but in my honest opinion, TFM will keep on living until not a single player has left. There are still some that keep on buying cosmetics, so it’s a fortune for him, regardless. I don’t know, really. During 2013-2014, the game had a peak of 70k+ players. It was fun, it was pretty alive, there were so many rooms you could of chosen to play, and all the modules were full of people. Now? Pretty much you’d see less rooms and dead modules. The last time I had seen the playerbase activity, because it used to show before you have logged in, It had less than 10k players, and was also around the time I had quit the game. It still has a faithful community but only for a short time.. To be quite honest, I don’t have any prospects of returning here, and likely won’t have to plan in the future as well. I am glad I met a lot of amazing people that, to this day, I still am in contact with. I’m afraid that we are likely never going to consider spending time here again like in the good old days, after all, times change and we’ve realized that the game isn’t the way we have viewed it a while back. At the end of the day, I am not upset that I— we have decided to move on, it had to happen for those reasons(and probably a few more, kind of writing this while tired). I don’t feel like I am upset with its current state, and rather thankful I have made good memories here. However, if a game has to thrive, the owner must actively engage with the community so that many new players or old players, if there still are, can be happy playing with their friends for old sake. Ah— and also, my apologies if some may find my message hurtful. My intentions here don’t mean to target people, just sharing the current state of the game and future from my point of view. Honestly just came back after a few years just for nostalgia; I personally don't see TFM lasting much longer. Things have almost stayed the same outside of a few very minor details (Fur skins, new vanilla rooms, etc.). A bit of a shame but that's just how things are. |

with an average of 1k - 1.5k players on steam (dunno how many using standalones) I doubt this game will survive long. unfortunately the era for browser games like transformice is over. this game is unable to pull in new players at the same rate it used to, and i'm sure there is a minimal amount of people actually paying for fraises. whatever the financial situation at atelier is it probably isn't the best. i come back to this game a couple times a year just to visit the café and play some bootcamp, it's shocking to see just how much activity has recessed. on the en server there are practically no active rooms whatsoever, and the café seems almost deserted. i dont think much can be done, and transformice has essentially been left to bleed out. |

+Gyaz a dit : yeah i have a very similar situation going on,, but honestly i've actually seen a decent amount of people still on and even some activity on cafe too,, i think it really just depends on what time you get on tfm,, sure yeah there's alot less people playing now but there's atleast some activity still,, not to mention people potentially coming back for nostalgia, so i'd say tfm's still got some time left Dernière modification le 1705111980000 |

Don't know, the game has lost quite a bit of players, I highly doubt it will ever reach the peaks it has reached since 13' or 14' -- Used to play quite often back then under the usernames Telmojaars and Behiked, bootcamp was really my only jam as well as room shaman for intricate building practices, would be nice to see it flourish once again but with the lack of intervention from the original developers it seems that it will die out. Original players that made the game enjoyable are - "Dukeonkled" "Artkiller" "Misswong" "Fatpandas" "lilyblol" "Doinky" - Honestly it's been so long I can barely remember other players, what's to blame with the lack of traffic is the demise of flashplayer, a ton of people have steam but with lack of advertisement it seems like the game with be exactly like their earlier versions "Poisson" and I forgot the other one where it's a stick figure, nonetheless I enjoyed my stay here and unfortunately this is it. |

as someone who has played since late 2013, it's a bit unfortunate to see this game dying out. to be fair, it had a really good run. i log in every few years to see what's up now, but... not much has changed. i don't see it going on for too much longer, but honestly, i've been thinking like that for at least 5 years now. we'll see what happens, shall we? my first username was foxxlover until i changed it to aisbergi. i ended up changing to the one i have now due to the constant remarks of "hehehe aspergers". it was funny yet annoying. but hey, that was the charm of tfm. i miss when vanilla1 would go up to 200+ people in the case that an admin was online. that was a good memory. i've made a lot of good and bad memories on this game and i will forever cherish it even when it dies for good. |
