What exactly is "Processing"? I can usually q a song instantly but sometimes it says "Processing". Why is that?

when you add a song that's never been added in the past, the game takes a minute or so to generate the notes for that song. it's a one-time thing, and if you try to add that song again at a later time, it won't have to generate again

dunno if it still works if you add a song someone else has generated, it probably does though

whenever I try to upload a song to my playlist I either get an error or endless processing. However, if I upload a video from an official account or label it works just fine.


Both of these are from record label accounts while the one in the middle is user uploaded, it's been processing forever. Yesterday I could upload all videos just fine but now suddenly I am very limited. If this is trying to prevent people from uploading non-music videos it's a bit redundant because around 90% of music on Youtube is user uploaded and some artists aren't on big official labels so they wouldn't even get played. I was wondering if this is trying to get people to upload music only or is this just a glitch?

you only get points if you have a song added to play; it's how the queue is determined.

you get 5 points for surviving til the end, 10 for 3rd place, and i believe it's 12 and 14 for 2nd and 1st. i don't add stuff too often so i dunno

You would think posting what the errors meant would be one of the most obvious things to put on the Q&A.

Suddenly I can't upload any music and it's incredibly irritating, they nearly all get "error 6".

Um.. My friend is from Pakistan, and YouTube's banned there, so she can't see the videos and the arrows don't drop down for her- since there's no music for them to drop to. So does that mean she can't and won't be able play Nekodancer.. at all?

I might have found 2 of the errors, i can be wrong:
error 5: Not enough views
error 6: Song artist copyrighted the song (?) or song is used for other music games, therefore not allowed to use.

Thank you, seems about right! I had a video processing for ages and hence didn't gain any points >.<

Whenever I upload a song it says it can be uploaded. Then it says Error 6 and 8
Just wondering why... and if there are different numbers and why
I am thinking Error 6 means too complicated and Error 8 means too long, this
frustrates me because every song it actually DOES upload takes forever to process...

Probably longest streak and average percentage maybe?

I'm guessing something like how many rounds, firsts, streaks, average, etc.

i'm glad you made a topic explaining the errors, but what about the dreaded "processing" stage that always processes no matter how long it's been? is it nekodancer's issue on not having enough memory(?) and not being able to generate new stepfiles (even though they have an error for that)?

Do all music get cut down to 3:15~ mins?

Infinite processing is an error. It just doesn't display what error it is.
