Hi, I felt like toying around in photoshop and revived some old .psd I made with Camera, trying to create a new interface for the game. I also tried to "implement" various suggestions that are flying around in these forums. I'm also doing this because the current interface looks sloppy, unaligned and crammed. I wanted to show that it can look more streamlined. I'm aware that this idea isn't perfect either: I'd love to hear other people suggest things about it. Anyway.

TOP BAR:

Menu should contain:

- Menu
- Friends
- Tribe
- Shop
- Forums
- Map Editor
- Shaman options (same as clicking the hard mode feather)
- Fullscreen
- Preferences - see Topic-149524
- Help

Help would be a dialog with buttons to:

- Instructions (these need an update, though)
- Tutorial
- Change your password
- A link to the Q and A thread of whichever community you're logged into
- (Optional) A link to the #Transformice on IRC.

The icons next to the Menu button represent specific map settings. The example would be a collision map with lowered gravity. Also see: Topic-158753

The map icon (lock) could serve as a map reporting button, see Topic-142947 for the suggestion thread about it.



CHAT TABS:

Room contains every message you get.
Tribe contains all the green text you receive from the tribe.
Added navigation between tabs, so you can have as many whisper tabs as you could possibly wish for.

Alerts should/could contain:
- Mutes and Bans in the room you're in;
- Information about server restarts;
- Community or server messages;
- Titles you unlock;
- Tribe invites you receive (see Topic-78333 , Topic-114501 or Topic-122852 )
- Any status change to any of your own maps (see Topic-133604 )
- Any status change to any thread you favourited (see Topic-53974 ) or started.
- A notification when something you reported has been dealt with;
- A notification when a thread you favourited or started got a new reply (see Topic-143493 )
- various other things I can't think of right now.



OTHER CHANGES:

* Spaced out the "emotion" buttons (dancing and such)
* Removed the Hard mode feather; can be found under "Menu";
* Time left is now larger and in a place where more people look;
* Mice count is close to the actual room list. Makes more sense;
* The shaman is highlighted in the room list, making it clearer that the one with the most
points becomes the shaman.

I like replies that are more thoughtful than "support/no support"!

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean that clicking on "Menu" will be in front of the map? Even though that's true, I don't think it's a problem; you can't play and click around in the menu at the same time anyway. Other stuff, like the friends list or other dialogs are also in the way. Other than that my edit doesn't take up any more room than the current interface. Pixel precise.
