Hey everyone,

There will be several nickname updates really soon, but today, you can add numbers to your nicknames.
Share your opinion on Nickname changes here as well as the official post (This is just to discuss the nickname updates)

Personally I like it and dislike it, here are some reasons for why I like it :

• Finally something new, people can now finally add some numbers to their nicknames (even if the nickname is taken, they can add a number)
• Adding numbers (favourite numbers)

I will also list some negatives :

• Some might add a Moderators name at the start and add a number after it, faking that he/she is the moderator.
• Duplicating accounts (same thing as up). fe... Take me Cooolsssboy, somebody will add numbers on them and many will think its me. Fe. Cooolsssboy1, 3, 5...

I am looking forward to :

• Nickname change, although it will cost loaaaaaaaads... I will still change my nickname!
• Adding these '_'
• Looking forward to seeing if a profile has changed its nickname and see its old nickname in the profile.

We have some exciting news regarding account creations... and especially about nicknames: you can now use numbers in your new names!

But that's not all! Coming soon: you will be able to change your own nicknames and even add underscores (_).

Retrieving the name of your dreams is only a matter of time now...

28/11/2015 - Melibellule moved the nickname change card from Improvements/Additions to In Progress.

09/06/2016 - Melibellule in a livestream said that the nickname change is coming in the 'next few weeks'. Get ready!

08/06/2016 - PRESENT - Staff members have now been testing the nickname change feature and the underscores in your usernames. (Username character expansion?)

Suggested on 29/12/2015 - When you have changed your nickname, somewhere, it shows a Last Known As : (Nickname) part!

but when the name changing ability comes out

i'll be damned if chaos doesn't erupt because i just know people are going to pretend to be other players.

like, for example

if i change my user (i don't plan to)
and as soon as i change it someone gets it
they could try and be me, or whatever.

i don't really support the name changing idea because of that. hopefully there's way to see "formerly Mynerdyways" or something like that.

I just hope the upcoming "username change" is something that you cannot change every minute.

We've been waiting for a username update for ages, and finally it's here. I love it!

However I dislike the number update, I really liked how tfm did not allow numbers in usernames, as it kinda forced to player to be creative to be able to come up with a user that wasn't taken. Instead of something ridiculous like 'Dog123456789'

Sigh, here come the unoriginal usernames.
