The map looks fine, good alignement.

Here are some things I'd liek to suggest:

The orange arrows means I want that grounds with 40 H points.

The turqoise arrow means I want that ground to have 40 L points and 75 H points.

The pink arrow is the place where you should put the cheese.

The violet arrow is the place where I want the hole to be.

The green arrows means I want a space betwen that grounds in order to encourage hardmode.

Pulled this back out for reviewing because I thought of a couple things you could try!

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/Map8.png
The white arrows. I think you should change the rotation of the ice to 45. I did think about the glitch although i'm not an expert, I think you could do something like this.

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/ground3.png
I'm pretty sure that ground is needed to hold the tramp into place. Make sure the ice that's rotated only has collosion with mice, sense this is a racing map it shouldn't really effect the map since there's not shaman. Also if you try this example make sure the ice that's rotated is layered over the smaller ice ground, so the map looks neat.

Now onto the black arrows. I just think you should add at least 50 L ice grounds there to make it the least bit friendly for newer mice, the H however is up to you. I always found my self dying on that part with cheese because I couldn't get high enough anyways.

With the ice rotated, and the grounds put down. The map will be a bit easier but still rewarding for the more skilled mice, while also giving the chance of not so skilled mice to finish the map.

So many arrows @.@ Let's see if I can remember what I put them there for xD

I'll start with the orange, purple, pink and white arrows.
The purple arrow pointing at the the tramp, I want you to change that tramp's rotation too 0 and top it off with ice, the white arrow I want you to add a 1.0 restution tramp witha rotation of 45. The pink arrows pointing at the chocolate. I think you should remove it from sticking out like that. And the orange arrows I think you should just make it 1 chocolate ground.

To make this less complicated I've made an example.

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/grounds4.png
The red arrow I want you to aline that chocolate with the stone ground. Right yellow arrow I think you should add an ice wall there reaching to the stone ground and too the roof, the yellow arrow pointing up I want you to add a roof to the map, and the yellow arrow pointing to the left I want you to add another ice wall alined with that stone ground.

The green arrow is where I want you to add a 50 H chocolate ground (L is up to you) and the brown arrow is where I want you to put the hole.

The reasoning for these changes is to make the map harder. With the tramp rotated too 0 mice will have to take advantage of the wind and bounce off that tramp once, twice, and possibly 3 times to reach the chocolate too the left. They will then walljump up too the cheese and head back down to where they first came in. They will need to use wind to their advantage once again to fly into the 45 degree tramp to hit the chocolate patch with hole infront of.

Quick tip: Add friction to the tramps to prevent jump lock.

This is more of a P9 map. But I can review it anyways. :3

I don't have much to say but make a few changes.

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/Map11.png
The red arrow, you should remove that grass or make cheese foreground. Hiding cheese like that is a HUGE no no in map-making, even if cheese is still showing.

The cyan arrows I think you should add 10x10 earth grounds there. Just enough for a plank to be held making it a little more hardmode friendly.

Lastly, maybe make the ice fall a bit slower (optional).

Dunald a dit :
@2883271 - P7

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/map12.png
I'll start off with the blue and orange arrows. I think you should swap the places of those too walls.

The red arrows I want you to remove that water ground. The pink arrows I want you to remove the middle tramp but leave the water ground.

The purple arrows I want you to change the far left and the far right tramps properties too 1.0 restution. Lastly the cheese and hole colored arrows is where of course I think you should add another cheese and hole.

With these changes done the map will be more rewarding to skilled mice (Deja vu). With the new cheese and hole placed down and the water removed on the far left and right. The water tramp is going to be faster (But harder) to achive while the no water tramps are easier but take longer because of the tramps low restution.

With the 2 walls swapped, mice won't be able to get much of a bounce because of the low ceiling'd water making the map a bit more fair, and without the tramp being there mice have a chance of dying with cheese.

Another map I can't say much about. ;; I like how simple but hard it is though, although I have one thing to add.

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/Map13.png
The brown arrows I think you should add a 10x10 chocolate ground that is just out of jumping distance so mice will have to corner jump to hit it. This bassicly gives a harder but faster way to complete the map and get ahead if done correctly.

Nhokw a dit :

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/map14.png
A very nice map but I feel like there's a bit of wasted space that you could use, here's my suggestions.

The green arrow bassicly I want you to move the map more to the left. The brown arrow I want you to add a 10 L chocolate walljump masking the wood one (newer mice friendly).

The pink and purple arrows. The pink one I want you to add a roof to the map and the purple one I want you to raise the H of that wood ground to reach the roof (so mice don't shortcut half the map, adding more gameplay).

The white arrow is where I want you to add another ice block (Preferably right next to the other but with the wood between them) but this one I want to have to be pushed up instead of down. with the cheese behind it. Of course with the roof, you're going to want to make a hole for it to slide through but make sure it stops after going so high so mice can't get on the roof.

The red arrow, again. Is a no no. You should never hide cheese behind something like that unless the cheese it self is foreground. The cheese colored arrow I want you to move the cheese behind the other ice ground.

Hey, I'm only 13, yet when it comes to jobs, I am highly mature. I tend to align maps properly, but I'm not sure if I would fit the job because of my random muck around maps, and my age. If I'm able to, could you please get back to me so I could send in an application?
Thanks. :)

Edit: Is Sera on?

We might have a problem with catching each other online, so I suggest you just leave your Skype name on your vote on the latest application voting thingy form. You could post it here in the thread, but it might harm your privacy. Thank you in advance. ^-^

REMINDER TO ALL: Please submit your maps properly. By properly, I mean you should give the asked information in the first post. Or else I may fail to to file your map. This means it might not be reviewed, and you might become stressed and such.

That is all.

Personaly, I don't think age is a requirement here since we aren't an official group (I.e. We're a user created group, not admin created. We have no in-game powers either).

Just send in an application and hope for the best ! Be sure to wait a few days though and check the thread frequently. We'll announce if you were accepted or not here.

(Edit: You lost your catface mr! It's now a sad catface >:c)

I'll start with the red arrows, are those supposed to be there? I understand the ice ground one but not so much the earth one. Try hiding those better even though the ice one is kind of unnecessary.

The purple arrow I think you should move the tramp out a couple more pixels so it's more noticable. Pink arrow I think you should aline that tramp with the eart ground. Black arrow you need to add 10 - 20 more pixels to that ground so it looks neater. And the yellow arrow i'm curious if that chocolate's alined.

Couldn't think of any suggestions, just alinement issues ^^;

Very nice map but I had some a few problems. If I were to fail one of the parts of the map, it was kind of hard/imposible for me to go back and try again. Here's my suggestions.

The brown arrows is here I want you to add chocolate. The 2 brown arrows in the middle of the map are for when mice fail, they can still get back up and try again with a little effort, of course without doing this map flawlessly you're going to lose your first.

The brown arrow pointing at the wood ground is so that if I mess up on the bottom part somehow, let's say I missed the cornerjump. I could still slide down the ice ramp, hit the tramp, fly over to the wood and grip onto the chocolate.

The brown arrow pointing at the tip of the tramp, I want you to tip it off making it a bit harder to get cheese and making that corner jump with cheese critical to firsting on the map.
Example of "tipping" the tramp:

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx210/timmey13/Mapreviews/ground2.png
Lastly, the white arrow. I think you should move the rotation on that ice just a little. Because I found myself going to fast and flying up to the ice instead of to the tramp.

Hi
I think that these adds would be awesome, though if you remove the water ground in the ends, the challenge of ducking down and floating up, going to the side without hitting the ice, is completely removed, and it's pretty much nothing else besides getting enough bounce.
I' might do a few changes on it, but i'm not sure.

It does, but in the end if you keep the water it'll be easier for mice to go that way. The only work around I can think of is the tramps restution being really really low so it takes a good bounce, making that way harder but less rewarding because it's slower.

I'm not exactly sure though. I'd just expirement with it till you find a good solution, again these are just suggestions :P

I'm curious of why we're re-announcing already accepted applicantions. I know it's probably less confusing but I think it'd be best if only announced new ones.

That was because there were still some holes in the application database that I wanted to fill in so we'd not need to worry about not informing someone about his application. Also, it serves as as reminder to people who applied in case they didn't see the first announcement.

---

My apologies to our clients for this, but I only became aware a few minutes ago that people cannot enter their maps on the review document to search for their map and its review status. I fixed the problem now, and you can now use our database to search for your map.
LINK

---

Also, sorry I'm not able to do much reviewing lately. The reason I don't want to join map crew in the first place is because I'm quite the busy person in real life and my work takes literally at least 12 hours from me each day, including the commute home. And if I take away some hours for sleep, I'd only have a really limited time to do any other things with my life, such as eating, playing games, and other enjoyable things.

In fact, I don't plan to hold on to this group permanently. Some members may notice that I'm quite strict with the review applications. That is because I'm "picking my successors". I also keep encouraging democracy within the team by such things as voting on applications and policies. This is because I want this group to be stable enough that when the time comes for me to leave the team, they would still want to continue with it.

Given time, they can do reviews well enough themselves that people will want their maps reviewed here "because the team is great!", not "because [Insert member here] is great!".

That is my "grand vision" for this group. When I retire from active map reviewing, I will still maintain this thread and the Google documents for three reasons:
1. I own all these, and the other members cannot edit them without hacking or something.
2. I'm probably the only one who knows Microsoft Excel enough to actually make the Google docs work.
3. There's some emotional attachment to this group for me as it feels like my "baby" of sorts. Naturally, I'd want to do all I can to help it succeed.

That is all. o.o

I'll get straight to the point.
The White arrow points at the offscreen part of the tree, it just bugs me that its sticking out. Bleh.
Maybe move the tree more to the right, or move that circle more to the right. It will look neater.

The Black arrow Points at the dude (forgot his name) Something like Einstein or newton or some shizzle.
First off, I think you should make him collidable with mice, just for a bit more gameplay, then move the apple to the side a bit so mice can jump on it.
Secondly, I think the dude needs shading, to be an art map, it must have some sort of particular style to it, a bit of shading would work, particularly because he is under a tree. If you have ran out of grounds, just change the tone of the parts of the dude, make a part of the arm a bit of a darker blue, same with the hair, more shades of grey.

The charizard is pretty well made, I like the shading effect.

White arrows Point at the triangle grounds, I suggest you make them Ice, since they have the same friction.. Otherwise this is just a fake ground.

The Pink arrow points to the charizards mouth, I think there is a tramp there somewhere..but I cant see it, maybe if you make a tongue, then make that bouncy, so the tramp is actually visible.

I actually do not understand the choice of gameplay you have chosen to be honest.. water and ice on a fire charizard map? Hmm.

I think if you find a way to use lava and earth grounds, it will look better and suit the actual art, therefor making it prettier to look at. c:
