And before you call me out on being homophobic, remember Overwatch and Russia? That's right. The second they invented Tracer being homosexual, whole comic was banned in Russia as well as a part of the lore. Atelier 801 does not want it in their game, do they?

Let's look at Riot Games, who were in a similar case. You see, in some countries, promoting smoking and use of tobacco is banned. Riot Games has a cigar on a champion called Graves, who was slightly changed (his cigar was removed) due to legal reasons. In this case, mentioned above promotion of smoking. So, to sum it up, in order to keep their sales and game available everywhere, they have disabled the cigar.

Tl;dr, it will not go through Russia due to legal reasons, which might stop Atelier801 from enabling it, or disabling the flag on Russian servers, which might cause even bigger controversies, as this flag will be available everywhere else, which would result Russian people being able to access the LGBT flag on the other servers, further demanding it on being on their own, which won't happen. That way Atelier801 will be accused of favoring other regions or ever worse. So either way, it won't pass because the game will either not be able to keep the flag in Russia, or will completely resign from the game being available legally in Russia. It's a loose/loose situation. Abandon the sinking ship.

Also adding in that some homophobic countries also include: Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, India, Honduras, Jamaica, Senegal, Afghanistan, Iran, Lithuania, and Sudan.
And believe it or not, America is still pretty homophobic.
