^ This, i just came in De this evening and nobody told me anithing or tried to kick me even if i was making a huge amount of firsts, and you know I was taking almost alll firsts because you were in the room Vicki. The point is if you behave properly and avoid to tell people that is "A sick jew" like you did to me, people can even be happy to see you popping in a server.

When did the presidential election start and when did it end? I thought the voting for Mayors got cut short due to the abuse and would be reset. Unless a President was needed for the process to reset? Or are we stuck with this President?

Jammerys a dit :
or just remove the update entirely and release an in-game poll that allows ALL players, with or without a fur who have earned X amount of cheese or played X amount of days to vote in the same way that you could vote for mayors.

but instead they're voting on the next fur to be on sale.
This seems like a much fairer option, everyone gets their own opinion and a fur still goes on sale without any silly mayors or presidents, fake power goes to peoples heads.

I agree. This is a really good idea!

Please post this as a suggestion topic, I will /support it to death. This is much fairer and prevents tfm from becoming an animaljam-like popularity contest between statpadders. Also, who's idea was it to include politics in a mouse game?

But then again, knowing atelier, they never admit they messed up, they'd rather keep a broken and corrupt system in place for the sake of conserving their ego. .-.

I heard somewhere that they wanted to make the choice of the fur on sale community-driven instead of automatically generated. But with the way this election system works, it's anything but community-driven, it's more like random. I'm not sure how they choose the fur or how the president is chosen between the majors, but we can't really decide or vote on what fur we want to see on sale.

I'm okay with updates and new features not working properly or having issues when they have been just implemented, but I don't like the way they release a new feature and they don't tell us the whole thing. The role of the president isn't even mentioned in the announcement.

Jammerys' suggestion is a pretty good idea and that would actually be a good way to make the next sale "community-driven".

I think they should of explained how this all worked more. I still don't understand half of what is going on with it. Is there a difference between the mayor and president? How often is this voting thing going to happen? How long are you president and how long are you mayor? How does the whole system work? I don't understand this.

Apparently it was a test,
without any official word just screenshots of whispers but okay.

There has been some news regarding the Election System.

  • Admins are working on bug fixes to stop people from voting over and over.
  • The custom colors (so not the default brown one) will be able to participate in the elections.
  • This previous election was indeed a test run. When the bug fixes and small adjustments are done there will most likely be new elections that will last longer. However, the previously announced election time of one week may be changed later if it's too long etc.

I have no timeline as to when this is all going to happen, so don't ask :D

This just seems ridiculous, They are opening it again only after two days? Yes, I know it was a test run but this just seems absurd, After all the effort people have gone to in the last election and they just open it two days later?

It's more likely to say that the should've canceled the previous one,
As can be seen most of the players that become mayor last turn are now nowhere to be found, that's a likely proof that they won using that glitch.

Can anything be done about this aswell?

I don't think players should be able to 'scam' votes by saying they're able to give things they're not able to.
It's the fact of abusing something to gain an advantage over other players that they don't have themselves.

I'd expect most of those claims to be meant as a joke. I feel like many players who are voting would already know that. I don't think much can or needs to be done.

Asking them to change their slogan would be one solution.

That's just one of the reasons why this election system is bad. Election campaigns and slogans are for the most part a place for people to promise stuff they couldn't deliver. Considering the average age of the TFM player I wouldn't be surprised if there were people who believed in the most obvious fake promises.

So what's the point of slogans and campaigns? Other than just 'for fun'

It can be taken as a joke, but the fact that he has a + in his name and the majority of players don't understand how you can't get a + anymore.
Is the fact of having an advantage that no one else is able to have, which is unfair.
