UPDATE: I have updated my flash once again and not TFM music works in some browsers (thankfully) including Opera Mini, Firefox but not in Chrome and standalones.

I really hate the fact that its still not working on the standalones because this was and is our final goal and also no reply from community members.

Oh another thing: I actually experienced difficulty with the music player today. Other people in the room could see/hear the music I submitted along with their own, but I couldn't. The fix for me was that my Flash wasn't toggled to run on all applications: it was on in the settings to only run on important content. When I turned that off, it worked fine.

I'm pretty sure videos on standalone have been broken for a very long time due to the fact standalone is built in AIR.

I would love an update to this thread and re-establish the video and music support into the game. It was honestly my favorite part of transformice when I was bored of everything else. Another form of self expression compared to the dull 2 minutes of firsts or survivor. Please re-establish this connection somehow. Thanks.

And sorry my bad. Turns out the videos work, but not in the downloaded programs. ie. Someone earlier posted Adobe air. It would be interesting if you exercised the same way into the downloaded program from steam and the website download.

Yeah exactly, on a browser, videos kind of work with these requirements:

Music Requirements a dit :

• You must have at least 500 cheese gathered (as shown on your profile).
• The song you're trying to queue must have at least 1000 views.
• If the song has less than 1 million views, it must be at least 2 months old.
• If the song has more than 1 million views, it must be at least 2 days old.

If you're playing music/video in the tribe Make sure you have these requirements:

• You must have a rank that has the ability to play music in the tribe.

But on Trasformice standalones, the music system doesn't seem to work.

not entirely sure if this is intended or what, but when the music room was initially released, there were less complications with it as nearly every video could be played.

right now you need to blind aim if you wont grab a unlucky pick where in the end youll get a screen that 'this cant be played on some certain platforms due to some copyright claim of EXAMPLE'. ive seen this happening quite fair amount of times where i wonder if it may not be part of a reason why this doesnt feel as the same as it was before. heres hoping for a explanation as im intrigued since there is something behind this probably.

and no, its not only on standalone, but tends to happen on browsers too, to point that out

Currently private music rooms only work like utility private rooms - you need to have music and your nickname in the room name, nothing else :(
Edit: a bug I just discovered related to music rooms is that when you enter ANY room with the video player working correctly (like tribe house or standard music rooms) in a browser (so far tried only in Chrome and the official standalone, the standalone video player doesn't work right anyway so the bug doesn't occur there) and when you move to any other room, when you switch between fullscreen modes, the video player appears for a moment while the transition occurs, then disappears!

What do you play Transformice on? The music usually doesn't show up if you are playing on a Standalone of some sort. So if you want to play music, I would recommend playing Transformice on a browser (Google Chrome etc.)
