These kinds of accounts were created using a glitch that has since been fixed. You can report them to moderators.

Hey! I know this is probably posted somewhere but I cannot find it.
Is it against rules/ban worthy to use a bot? There has been someone using a bot in v1 en1 for several hours now. The bot just moves left (as if you just tapped the left key a quick millisecond) so it doesn't afk die. I am very sure it is a bot because it does it every few seconds in a rhythm.

But how could someone do it for literally 5 hours straight in the same exact way? It literally makes no sense. They didn't even sham. I understand moving isn't against the rules and whether they are or aren't a regular doesn't affect anything. What is against the rules is using a bot, or any type of "hack" based thing in general. They wouldn't reply to anything, they were even partially lagging. If they want to come out and say "Yes I was staring at my computer from 3 to 8 am in the morning straight and moving left every few seconds without fail in every map no matter what and not talking" then I have no reason not to believe it is a bot. No sane person would do that or believe that story.
So thank you for telling me that "moving to avoid AFK death" isn't against the rules. I already knew this. What I am asking is that the fact that this person is using a bot ... is against the rules. There is literally almost no current visible evidence that they were just sitting there for hours without break doing the same exact thing.

Bots have been broken for almost two years. It could be a hack (but I've not seen any anti-afk hacks in a long time so I don't know if any work), but the movement isn't "exactly the same" as you say. Irregardless, you can report it to a mod and have them look at it and give their final call.

It would be easy to make a script with AHK to repeatedly move after a certain amount of time. While a simple script like this wouldn't be against the rules per se, if it's used to gain some sort of unfair advantage or benefit that is normally not possible without the script then yes, action will be taken against them.

It doesn't look like there's anything suspicious going on in that vid though, if anything I would guess they left to do something else and kept their account logged in to save having to relog in when they get back later.

I have already tried talking to a mod but at the time the only one that would answer me was from the Netherlands and she said she would talk to people about it and then logged off 20 minutes later. That's why I am here.

Whiskeypickle I understand that p.o.v. but they were doing it way too long for it just to be a quick trip to go somewhere. I've saw people put heavy object on their keyboards to keep jumping and ive saw people sometimes move to not afk die because they are doing something quickly. This video was short because I literally would just be showing you the same things over and over again, I mainly was using it as an example for what I meant (a visual) so others could understand better. I was in that room for a very, very long time and they were doing it the whole time. I heard other people talking about them using a bot but I didn't think much of it until it was their sham turn. They had 3 more sham turns after that, and the entire time they kept doing the same exact thing.

That was just my guess as to why they're doing it, I don't know the exact reason for them doing so.

Yes they're doing it for a long time, however I still can't see any sort of abuse coming from them doing it. AHK scripts aren't forbidden to use as long as running them doesn't break any of the games rules/TOS or gives any sort of advantage that cannot be achieved without the script. If they choose to run a script that makes them more or less do nothing on their account for ages then that's their choice to do so.

If there's some sort of abuse coming from doing this that I'm missing then please feel free to explain it to me and we will certainly look into it, however the worst I can see this being is annoying to the room that they don't sham or AFK die, in which case you and the room are free to voteban them.

To be honest the main reason it bothers me is the unfair advantage they get. They are cheese farming without actually playing the game.

It wouldn't be cheese farming since they never get the cheese to the hole, however after discussing it with a few other mods we've seen a different way that it could be abused. We'll discuss it further, however for now if you do see anyone acting like this you can contact a Mod about it.

They do get the cheese in the hole, they get teleported and hearted there. Some cheese is better than none, right?
