I really would like this option, especially when I have to afk for a few minutes but don't want to miss any rounds.

I really like this idea actually, it doesn't "remove" afkers from the room, it simply lets them spectate until they get back.
I would probably spectate a lot in rooms instead of going to the tribehouse and sitting there.

totatl support. I want to be with my friends without playing. Morting makes your ratios and stats worse so if spectating does make rounds count thatll be great. Im sure someone will find a way to abuse this however

I feel like this would be quickly used/abused for strategic reasons.... e.g. players opting to "spectate" when a co-op map is scheduled to be next. I suppose that's not a big deal (using it strategy-wise), but if you're going to "spectate" I assume you're not going to play for some time - hence you wouldn't be worried about losing your sham place in the line. Why not simply go to a private room if you just want to chat or get a guest if you simply want to observe? AFK death isn't really that much of a nuisance since they all pouff after 30s if they don't move.

I'm not that experienced with coding, but I can imagine that the process of implementing this idea would be no fun task... unless you're really good or keen to rip your hair out trying to sort out all of the bugs. But, who am I to say such statements about coding anyways? :P I haven't the slightest idea about what's behind what the common player sees TFM as.

It amuses me how the point goes right over some people's heads. The point here is to NOT have to do anything, no deaths, no affecting the gameplay in any way,just being able to watch without dying or playing. Also would be helpful for people who are afk or don't want to found in the room (eg. hiding in a utility but being able to watch because you not technically in the room.)

I think you'd just do /spec or something to activate spectator mode.

If there are modules that has spectator mode added in, I am sure the actual game itself is able to do so.

This would probably make the community less toxic hence no "noob" chants and also it would probably make it so that less people make alts and thus less account managing required for cfm (for example). I'm not sure about the coding part but I hope there won't be so many issues as other implemented ideas. So full support from me!

This is easier than /morting every round. Isn't the point of spectating being able to sit back and watch the game without having to do anything?
