I don't think you can ignore marriage invites without ignoring the person entirely, ignore just makes it so you cant see what they are saying, what if you wanna see what they say but not want marriage invites from them?

I do get marriage proposals while i play on vanilla rooms, survivor or somewhere else, and it's ANNOYING due to the fact that they cover up your visual on the middle of a first, and some people like to troll you with that feature.
