omg late chapter is late "Father, I need to talk to Katsu." Akira said, flicking his tail as he glared at his dad. "Why don't you go to him yourself?" "You know the Kyuketsuki family will tear me apart, you idiot!" Akira snapped short-temperedly. Akira's father winced. "Right, right.... I'll get him on the phone..." After a few minutes, Akira was handed the phone. "Yes, what is it?" Katsu's almost demonic tone made Akira shiver, as Katsu was the only vampire who actually scared him stiff. "I heard you brought a normal mouse into the vampire's realm. Why is this?" Akira asked, keeping the fear from his voice. "Oh, you heard? Well... she is.... rather different, I should say. She wasn't scared at all by my presence - unlike you - and she attempted to fight me when I approached her. So, I knocked her out and brought her here." Akira was fuming when he heard this. "You know very well that's against the rules. What would your parents say?" "To hell with the rules. My parents are afraid of me, Akira - they wouldn't defy me." Although nobody could see, Katsu was smiling devilishly. "You've got to do something if you don't want to get in trouble with the higher-ups. The ones that have more power than your family, I mean." Akira muttered, then lowered his voice. "I'll keep my mouth shut until you do something about her." "So you've got a friend?" Grace asked. "Yeah. He's really reliable, too. Cowardly, but reliable." Alexander replied. "Hey - why are you shaking?" "Paranoia. There are vampires everywhere." Grace muttered in reply. A long moment of silence passed. "So who is he?" Grace asked. "Who?" "Your friend." "Oh." Alexander replied. "Well, first off, his name is Khris. He's shy and jittery, but also humorous and flexible once you get to know him. He's really curious about things." Alexander took a sip of his tea. "He's a close friend of mine. I can call him, if you want." Grace nodded after taking a bite of her biscuit. After a moment, Alexander handed Grace the phone. "Hello?" She asked. "Who is this?" Khris replied. He did sound like a scaredy cat. "My name is Grace Keeble. I'm with Alexander. You're Khris, right?" "Y-Yeah." Khris stammered a reply. "Can you come over to my place? We're trying to talk out a plan to stop this vampire invasion.... peacefully." "Y-Yeah... Okay." Khris replied. "Where do you live?" "House twenty-two on West Razz street. You can't miss it - it's rather secluded." Khris hung up the phone without saying anything. "Think he'll come?" "He always keeps a promise, Grace." I'm sorry there's no picture this time loss of motivation ;-; shymouselite a dit : I ship FogXKatsu queenlordess a dit : Thanks ^.^ |

Fog opened her eyes warily. "Wh.." "You're finally awake." Fog froze as she heard another voice. It'd been years since she'd heard a voice that didn't belong to her father. It wasn't her sister - who'd recently helped her escape - either. "Who are you?" She muttered. "My name is Claude." Fog glanced over to where Claude's voice had come from. He was a rather frightening sight, as he had stitches in multiple places as if they held his body together. He also had an eyepatch on that seemed to cover a faint glow. Claude curled his tail impatiently. "Get up. Katsu will want to talk to you." "Who's..?" "Now. I'll explain later." -After Khris arrives- "So you're Khris, correct?" Grace asked. "Y-Yeah." He stammered. Grace looked almost frightening. "You can trust her, don't worry." Alexander commented. "Now - to solve this whole vampire conflict seriously. Why do you think they attack us?" Alexander pondered the question. "Well... I've seen some vampires that have killed, but looked remorseful after they did so - as if saying 'I'm sorry. I had to.'" "They need blood to survive?" Grace suggested. "Maybe." Khris replied, more calmed but still jittery. I'm sorry short chapter V.V |

Fog followed Claude, unsure of where exactly they were going. She jumped at noises every so often, making her fur spike and her tail curl anxiously. Claude kept assuring her she was fine, but she couldn't help her own fear. They soon entered a rather large room, which Fog guessed was a dining room judging by the looks. There was a large table in the center of the room, surrounded by many chairs. Do they get guests often? Fog wondered. There was a large chandelier above the table, where a white-furred vampiric mouse was perched. "Oh. She's awake?" He asked, leaping down and doing a backflip in the process. "Showoff..." Fog muttered under her breath. "Yeah. She woke up a few minutes ago, but she's recovered from that blow to the skull already. She isn't even dazed anymore." Claude reported, and Katsu chuckled. "So she's a healthy one? That's rare." "'Healthy' isn't exactly what I would use to describe me." Fog grunted. Claude was taken aback, along with Katsu. She isn't even phased by the fact that Katsu and I have wings... and are vampires. I'll pretend that isn't odd. Claude thought, trying not to stupidly grin, as he found the thought amusing. "I was.... isolated for fifteen years with barely anything to eat or drink. I'm used to nausea." Claude, still rather dumbfounded, stood where he was rather stupidly. Katsu, however, had recovered from the slight shock of surprise and chuckled. He spread out his wings as if to intimidate Fog. .... She wasn't impressed. "Is that supposed to scare me, or something?" She asked, clearly not amused. "I suppose so." Katsu replied with a calm and rather frightening grin. Claude, however, had sat down at the table and was boredly resting his head on his arm. Katsu grabbed Fog's arm and began walking towards the door. "Let's go see the courtyard. It's more suitable for chatting than the middle of a dining room." Fog rolled her eyes and forced Katsu to drag her the whole way. She really is a pain in the tail, isn't she? Katsu thought with a grunt. They soon arrived in the courtyard, where flowers studded just about... everywhere. "It's... pretty?" Fog's voice was plaintitive as she attempted to complement the garden. Katsu was beginning to grow annoyed with the girl. Sometimes I wonder if Claude is right in saying that I have bad taste. Fog's gaze darted to the forest surrounding her and Katsu. Once he lets go of my arm... Katsu let go of Fog, who, in turn, darted towards the woods. Katsu was almost immediately in front of her, a frown on his face. "I really do hate it when my guests try to run away." He said in a fake whine. Fog snarled and attempted to leap over him, only to suddenly get cut on the leg by some kind of blade when she landed and fell in a cursing heap. She stood up and whipped around, only to be faced by Katsu's wings. She looked behind her and saw Katsu standing, with his wings spread out. Wonderful... She thought with a grunt of anger. Ivy tendrils had wrapped around her legs. Katsu was grinning now, his fangs visible. He leaned in, and then Fog passed out. Er... Longer chapter, but no Grace and the gang. XD Sorry Hope you enjoy this chapter whoo I'm going to try to update this more frequently This is what I get for writing two stories at once dangit |

Fog woke up groaning. There was a terrible ache around her shoulderblades and her teeth were throbbing. She opened her eyes and realized she was in the same room as she had been the previous day. Damnit! What did that good-for-nothing showoff do to me?! She though with a snarl. She stood up and began walking towards the doorway, only to open it and see Claude looking at her with a frown. "You're alive? That's surprising." He said, his tone plaintitive and slightly annoyed. Fog glared at him. "What about it, stitch-face?" She recoiled, making Claude shove her back onto the floor with strength that greatly overpowered her. She grunted and stood back up, but was wobbly because of the agonizing pain in her back and jaw. "Next time it's more than a shove." Claude snapped. "Let's go." The two walked through a few corridors, then finally stopped at a room. Claude entered, still dragging Fog by the arm behind him. "Katsu, she's awake." He called. Katsu, who was reading a book on top of a rather large bookshelf, flew down and lightly landed. "It's a miracle she even woke up." Claude added under his breath, letting go of Fog and closing the doors behind the two. Katsu grinned. "What do you want from me, you brat?" Fog growled, cursing the fact that she had no idea where her scythe was at the moment. "You do know what happens when a pureblood vampire bites a mouse, right?" Fog curled her tail, annoyed. "No, I don't." Her tone was more secluded. "They turn into a vampire themselves, if they don't die first." Katsu replied with a chuckle. Fog twitched her tail and glared at Katsu. "How long, exactly, will that transformation take? It's already quite painful and I don't feel like putting up with this." "About a day, maybe. You're extremely vulnerable until then." Fog snarled. "And my guess is that I'll be living with you?" Katsu nodded, grinning slightly. Claude had vanished to the top of a bookshelf. "Great..." Fog muttered, and left the library room to go back to her room. Grace twitched her tail. She'd heard a commotion not far from her spot with her group in the woods. Secretly, she wondered if it was vampire activity. She was visibly shaking, and was absolutely terrified, but she continued walking. Alexander and an extremely scared Khris followed her. She eventually came to the edge of the woods, where a garden was visible. There were flowers littered everywhere, and ahead was a vampire who had his wings wrapped around a fragile-looking white mouse with toxic-green and purple hair. Grace immediately shrunk back. "What are we going to do?" Alex asked, taking a step out of the woodline. He looked angry as he gripped the knife Grace had given him to use as a weapon. "Nothing. That's the Kyuketsuki mansion - a family of vampires, not to mention Katsu's friend Claude that lives there. Alex growled and disappeared back into the shadows of the trees. "We have to do something." He insisted. Grace thought for a moment. "We'll camp here and go in tomorrow to get the girl out." She decided, and Alex smiled with relief. Khris was still shaking. "H-How, exactly, do you plan to do that?" Grace looked at him. "I know the entire layout thanks to Akira." "Akira?" Alex queried. "A vampire - he's trying to stop this whole thing, too." Khris looked as if he'd just seen the world end. "You're allied with a vampire?!" Grace nodded, not looking amused. "He and a small group of vampires are trying to stop the war between the mice and them. We just need to figure out how. Let's get some sleep now so we'll be energized for tomorrow." |
