What if you're spammed by whispers or tribe messages?
You will be easily distracted and i'm sure.

By whispers, just so /silent ( or /silence, i forget which it was )

I would only like this if it disables only the chat of the room you're in. Also I feel like you could just do /chat (whatever)
Plus if someone is spamming you with whispers you can still put in a tab or disable whispers.

I support this. I don't like to see when random people in the vanilla room and so judges others, and I'm pretty sure the newbies would love this feature, since they could avoid being called 'a noob'.
The chat is there for the communication between others, but hey, in my opinion, the admins for this game could make it that you could CHOOSE wether you want to see the chat, or not. Pretty much like ./silence.
Please Atelier801, add this feature to the game!

That'll be nice! Because at school i play transformice and usually there are people swearing. I wouldn't want my teachers/friends to see that i am seeing a bunch of swearing in the game so yeah, support.

Sometimes i just hide the chat box by doing /chat #Australia
Since not many people speak in that chat on school hours hehe.

nice idea,i have the same problem (parents thingy) but not always but i suggest it should be easily reached where u can turn it "off" or "on" very easily,like a command "/chat off","/chat on" or something like that where I don't really use the mouse alot specially when not the shaman :P so.. not a bad idea after all :P /support but i also see it might prevent the whole thing which might give problems if someone forgot to turn it back on and there's something important to tell or something like that so i suggest only friends and tribe members (which unkowns can't reach ya) can do a special thing like "/talk [player]" which will send a message to the player saying only one sentence like "Someone Would Like To Talk With You" (can be changed) so (since it's the only way to comminucate with players),people or staff can tell u if there's something important to tell,but nobody can change the sentence except the reciever and there's no other sentences so nobody can say stuff parents would suspect or anything like that :P
