Totems in survivor is complete BS, yes you heard BS. Were is the skill were is the fun, what are the chances of survival, if someone comes into the room with a totem that clears the map in 5 seconds. Or we all know the Cannonball totem, that just keeps killing everyone in the map. Comon guys i don't think atelier801 had this in mind when they created survivor. If you allow totems you might as well allow and use divine mode. Ok enough from my side peace out guys <3

Survivor is meant for mice to survive canons, not to get killed by totems at the end.

Like I said above, the non abusive totems doesnt add anything to the gameplay. Maybe some are like "Woah this is beautiful", but thats all. For the sake of survivor I can live without such.

I am talking about the actual useful totems (bridges for blocking, red nail to planks, etc), not the ones used for aesthetics. You automatically think that all totems are horrible and no good. You are only against cheap kills, I merely stated the players who use useful totems shouldn't have to give it up if they're not abusing it with cannon spam, anvil god, glitches, etc.

I would also like to mention the [SHAMAN] Preview Totem Placement thread. We already have the power to see where the shaman is going to place the next plank and cannon. Why not view the actual totem the shaman is about to spawn? This would allow players to hurry up and avoid the totem within that small window of time during spawning, also allowing less casualties.

I support the thread I mentioned, as well as Diamondwing's idea of cannon limitation.

I fully support this. I believe surviver should show the shaman(s) skills and not how many mice their totem can kill.

As a regular player in survivor, I have seen just about every totem shamans use to massively kill mice with. Most are obviously trying to farm shaman survivor coins, trying to get the survivor badge, or simply giving up due to the lack of skills they have.

I believe that survivor is a mini game that should be dedicated to skills only, as it would provide an unfair kill rate to shamans who don't use totems. With the power of totems, shamans are allowed to abuse their power and use the maximum number of cannons/anvils/nails they can with the goal to leave no mouse as the survivor in mind.

As previously mentioned, players are unable to see the preview of the totem summoned beforehand, therefore causing a huge disadvantage to them due to leaving them no time to dodge or move away. Even with a preview, the massive wall of cannons being used sometimes is unavoidable as well.

Survivor should be based solely on skills gained from time. As many players get better as their time in survivor increases. Also, totems in survivor are similar to cannons you would have the opportunity to buy in the module mini game, #deathmatch. As players are allowed to buy double cannons and shoot them.

I think players wouldn't be able to engage in survivor anymore if shamans continuously use totems, it would shorten the time of the round, provide only unfair victory to the shaman, and decrease the chance of players having fun or gaining skills.

They removed totems from survivor a while ago and it was causing too much glitching, so the survivor mapcrew had to remove the feature shortly after releasing it. I don't know if the survivor mapcrew only found a loophole for removing totems, or the admins actually got rid of it at the time, but I don't know if it would be worth the lagging and glitching to get rid of totems.

I support the thread I mentioned, as well as Diamondwing's idea of cannon limitation.

I consider bridge/block totems also as a cheap way. The red nail arguement fails a bit, if you are only allowed to be in normal mode in survivor you can spawn as many red nails as you want. Also you can easily block without totems.
"Useful" means useful for the shaman, but a handicap for the mice, keep that in mind. And yes, I think that totems dont add anything good to the gameplay of survivor. Except for trolling I still dont see any reason to keep totems, since everything you can do with totems can be done without too (except spawning 20 cannons at once of course, unless you hack).
The preview would also not help that much, 20 cannons will stay 20 cannons, if you are not lucky or on a good place you will die.
The preview for shaman objects isnt active for survivor by the way, you can only see the items when they get spawned.

I don't know why does it cause lag, glitch or whatever it does. Their job is to make the game better for players and this totem thing doesn't let us play comfortably, i'm sure theres someone who can find a solution to the glitching once the totems are removed.
