How do yall feel about having a max like limit? X every hour or X every day if they refuse to remove the dislike/like feature throughout the forum then there should be some sort of restriction to prevent trolling etc..

If this system has to stay, I'd rather only the OP be likable, like this thread suggested last year(disregarding the popularity thing). I even agree with the replies in there, that it should only be up votes. Like I said in the other thread, I would want people to tell me why they don't like the thread instead of vaguely down voting.

I would want these "rewards" removed too.

Other than that, I don't want this system and don't really think it'd get better.

Ohh yeah yeah I mentioned that in a post somewhere, but forget and can't find it. I'd like that too, but I'm not sure how everyone else would feel about it.

I agree with you with the removal of dislikes because it's like you said there should be some discussion as to why someone wouldn't support something ~ yeah rewards are dumb imo.

I don't mind reputation systems because I'm already used to them on other forums, but they were handled a lot differently than here.

This is a classic example of people hating on a brand new update. Sure, there are some flaws but get this.. it's brand new! Of course there are going to be flaws with the system, its going to take time to fix.

Honestly, I rather like this prestige system, it is something new to this forum, and somewhat unique as well. I can understand the farming issue, however we're literally day 1 into this new system. I am sure that if there is a farming issue, Stardev7 and the rest of the admins will take a look and fix it, but for now we are only assuming that there will be.

There are a few things that I would fix, such as the ability to like your own post, as well as not allowing the down-vote on sections that don't need it.

This is the typical madness that comes when something new gets added, everyone hates it just because it's a change, no matter how silly the change was or even if you have the option to not use it. It happened when the forum changed, shaman skills were added, weekly events started (and stopped), minigames were made official, etc. a week later no one cared.

You'll get used to it in a few days, there's no point in suggesting its removal when it's only been there for a few hours and you haven't even had the chance to test it.

the forums is not cafe

This change will cause a lot of problems between players

I do not see the benefit of this system within the forum, the company must respect the desire of the players, otherwise they will deviate as they did 20 thousand players before

Restricting it to suggestion sections is pretty much removing it imo.

Restricting to suggestions (ingame/forums), announcements, reactions and bugs isn't "pretty much removing it". Using it in areas where it would be most effective and have a positive impact on the forums is what this needs to be used for - not a popularity contest and for threads that don't need to be liked/dislikes (cough off-topic)

Without the dislike button, you won't know if people read your message and simply don't like it, or if they haven't read it at all. With the dislike button, you will have a more representative view of the thoughts of the community. I think to say the dislike button does nothing is very blunt and inaccurate.
