Chapter 3 After the shocking news of Ayame's disappearance, an unsettling presence seemed to linger over the academy. Nevertheless, Akira still had hope. She was determined to find Ayame and bring her back. In the forest, Akira and the gathered volunteer mice were searching for Ayame or any sign of the ominous crystals like the one she'd run off with before. Unknowingly, the group stumbled across the area where Akira and Ayame had been on the day of her disappearance. Deciding to make the best of it, they began to search. Akira was peering behind a row of thin trees when she glanced back upon hearing the voice of one of her group members. "I found something!" It was Ayumi, standing with a few others of the group and curiously staring at a peculiar patch of darkened grass. When Akira approached them, she was astonished to find another crystal sitting precisely in the same spot that Ayame had found the first one. "This is strange..." Akira's tone was soft, and her expression a tad bit alarmed. "Ayame took the crystal here, and I doubt she would've put it back since she's still missing..." Yuki, nonchalant and as fearless as everyone would've most likely expected him to be, approached the crystal. Akira was about to warn him before he retrieved a pair of tweezers from his backpack and carefully picked it up with them, turning it this way and that to inspect it. After he seemed satisfied (it was difficult to tell), he gingerly set it in a small, enclosed glass case. "I'll go ask the principal if I can... experiment... on this." His voice was a mutter, but his tone held the faintest twinge of curiosity and excitement. Deciding that they had found enough to work on today, Akira called everyone together to go back to the academy. After arriving, the group split up to work on or investigate what they deemed interesting to them. Some mice went to the principal to ask for permission to experiment on the crystal, some attempted to persuade more students to join the team, and some went back to their teachers to get the work they had missed while investigating out with Akira. Despite all this, and the semi-peaceful state of her classmates, Akira's thoughts billowed with worry. She was still worried about Ayame. Where could she have gone? She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't see Jackson approach her. "Hey. Akira, right?" he asked tentatively, not wanting to call her by the wrong name. Akira, having not seen Jackson approaching her, was spooked for a moment before turning her attention to him. "O-oh. Hey." she muttered a bit awkwardly in response, recollecting herself. Jackson sat next to her on the bench. "Do you have any idea where Ayame could've gone to?" Akira's voice's volume dropped slightly, obviously saddened by the topic of her missing best friend. "I don't know... I'll try to think of any place she could've gone to hide..." She closed her eyes and scanned through her memories, searching for any secluded or secret area. Something that is hidden from the world... That's it! Her eyes shot open. How could she have forgotten? Without missing a beat, she stood up and hurriedly ran towards the room where all the other mice were. "W-wait, where are you going?" Jackson called out to her, rather distressed from Akira's apparent sudden enlightenment. "I'm pretty sure I know where Ayame is!" she replied, her voice bubbling with excitement. In the common room, some others had gotten permission to experiment with the crystal on a test rabbit. Yuki was just about to touch it to the rabbit's forehead, but stopped curiously when his pinkette friend let herself inside with the most excited expression he'd ever seen on her face. "Guys!" she exclaimed, a bit too loudly. The other mice aside from Yuki looked up at her, some still in the middle of their own experiments. Akira grinned. "I know where Ayame is!" |

If you want some more choices I can just... Bloop them here Door1 Rikki Melinko 18 Male Personality: He has a lot of dark humor, but it can actually be funny at times. Until he starts saying "Well, ya know. They could of slipped and hit their head on a rock. Woopsie" and laughing about it. Thought of to be a sociopath but, he's not. Power/Ability: Telekinesis or levitation. Backstory*: Used to be a total teachers pet until something personal happened to him and his mood totally switched. Skills*: Very intelligent, can list off a bunch of facts. Door2 Oscar Finland 17 Male Personality: Super sweet, skittish, he doesn't really try to get in trouble. He can have a more destructive side when you either challenge him or get on his nerves. He apologizes anytime he insults you, has a sharp tongue. -- After he's turned he has a more consistent manipulation and makes people pity him to lure them into a false friendship. Power/Ability: See ghosts Backstory*: Always been a more quiet type. He got a lot of his injuries by his own clumsiness. For example, tripping down stairs. Skills*: Abnormally lucky with his injuries. They pretty much always fail to give him severe damage. Extra*: Kind of twitchy, ghosts try to touch him a lot so he'll jolt constantly if they're around. Door3 Jax Crow 19 Male (Awkward moment realizing i have so many dudes) Personality: Very cunning, makes decisions at a drop of a hat good or bad. He is very quick with his hands but not as quick on his feet. Tends to be kept to himself. Won't say a word to anyone until they talk to him. He can be more bite than bark. Power/Ability: Fire/Explosives Backstory*: Jax has never really been a people person. Always had to much of a drive, he thought they'd slow him down. Making friends with Jax has never been easy for anyone, but the few people he did become friends with never regretted it. (until ya know... crystal woop woop) Always loved woodland, most likely to be found there. Skills*: He can usually find someone easily. vvv He is don't worry Dernière modification le 1530029280000 |

Ref: Name: Len Age: 17 Gender: male Personality: Smart/cunning, stubborn, and patient. He can create reality bending illusions, and he uses them for a variety of reasons; fun, revenge, to hide, to locate, to distract. Though, he usually uses them for pranks, this trickster mouse is a kind and caring soul who hates bullies. He's extremely shy to new people, and stays away from many mice. As such his only friend is his brother. Power/Ability: illusions. His illusions can even become reality. When him and his brother use their powers together, there is very little that can stop them. Backstory*: Originally living with their dad after the divorce, he was abandoned when his dad found out he had powers at the age of 6. Always considered 'normal' up until that point, he was lost and severely frightened by what happened, and only used his powers to defend himself, or hide. At first, they were true illusions: able to be broken. But one day when at the library, he snuck into the forbidden books section and found a book on his powers. Taking the book, he soon was experimenting on what he could do, and found out that he could make his illusions real. The only problem is that the book said that this power was broken into two parts, usually when there are twins. By his knowledge at the time, he didn't have a brother, as they were separated at the age of 2 when the divorce happened. Then he remembered how his dad always talked about a boy his age living with 'that monster your mother'. He soon set out and traveled there, and the brothers were reunited. A formidable duo, these two mice are almost always together, but stay well away from their arguments. Skills*: illusions (obviously), fighting with and without his powers (he got bullied a lot), research, tracking, flexibility, and a really long stamina (from walking across the continental US to get to his brother). Extra*: he's Jackson's brother ^-^ Kind of wanted to make a brother for Jackson... Masked has the villains covered, I think ^-^ |

I'M SORRY @MASKEDJOKER BECAUSE I'M GONNA END UP KICKING ONE OF UR CHARAS OUT IF COOKIE TAKES THIS CHAR BUT I HAD SO MUCH FUN EDITING THE LAST CHAPTER THAT I HAD TO MAKE ONE AND I COULDN'T GET THE IDEA OUT OF MY HEAD AND I LOVED HIS CONCEPT Name: Marcel De Vries Age: 16 Gender: Male Personality: His most prominent trait is confidence. No matter what he does, he's confident about it. However, he's secretly insecure - mostly about his past, but also about what others would think of him if they found out his past. He also tends to be the life of a party, as he's popular and aggressively fake praised throughout the school. He takes pride in his skill at the sport - after all, skill and strength aren't the same thing. Power/Ability: For the longest time, he was unsure of what his ability was; most of his time was spent worrying about recovering rather than learning about himself. However, he discovered only recently that his ability relies on what he believes to be misdirection - not really a super power, but at the same time beneficial to him. He seems to be able to slip about the field blinking in and out of notice, as if he were invisible. Backstory*: A rising star in Soccer; it seems that the world is being handed to him. However, the way he started was not as easy as many others in his field or even on his team. He was born too weak to pursue his dreams, but in the hospital would be spend hours on end watching sports programs on television. When he was strong enough to live with his parents (with weekly visits to the doctors to make sure that all was well), he was left alone. He used this time alone, and his mother's credit card, to purchase... more than unsavory mixtures of drugs (mostly steroids). It worked, though, and he's much stronger physically now. He's long since gotten past using them (he thinks proudly that he hasn't touched a drug since the year previous), but he still fears that he'll be found out and arrested. Because of this, he keeps his past under lock and key. (He's almost like a wonder boy - he showed up one day and climbed to the top.) Some of the other sports kids resent him, but many of them look up to him. Skills*: Despite being intelligent, he'd rather talk about sports. His grades are near-perfect though, as he read a lot of stray books growing up. (most of them educational, as he spent a lot of time in the hospital) Extra*: He isn't aware, but his ability really is to be able to blink in and out of view. His invisible form doesn't make him impervious, and only lasts a few quick seconds due to his lack of control of it. He only activates this ability knowingly during soccer games. His power is ironic in that he has no presence during games, but a powerful presence everywhere else. |

Chapter 4 Akira and the other mice who had volunteered to help her gathered around a large round table that Yuki playfully compared to the round table from the age-old legend of King Arthur, gathering all together in one of the academy's many rooms. Brushing off papers and planning sheets, she placed a map of the forest that Ayame had disappeared into onto it. Taking a red marker from a box on the table, she drew a circle on the parchment in what seemed to be a specific part of the forest. "Ayame and I made a map of the forest when we were little..." Akira explained, sounding both thoughtful and confident. "...and during that time, we found a tower. Old, abandoned, crumbling - hidden in a spot in the forest that anybody rarely traveled." She raised her head and looked at the other mice in the room with her. "I'm sure she's there right now." A female mouse with a fancy, feathered fedora scoffed. "Well, what're we gonna do once we get there, Pinky?" Akira recognized the hot-headed mouse as Ari, a student with a bad temper but somehow decent grades, and a recent addition to the Let's-Find-Ayame Squad. Akira sighed, about to retort when Ayumi interrupted, speaking for her instead. "Ari! This is a serious matter, you should be respectful. It could be a matter of life and death." Ari chuckled. "What? I'm just asking a question to Pinky over there," she gestured with her paw at Akira. Suddenly, an argument sparked between the two. Ayumi tried (fairly desperately) to get Ari to listen, who sarcastically replied to each plea with an uncaring smirk on her face. That argument started more fights, some of them spiraling into completely unrelated topics, one of which included a mouse with orange hair arguing about Yuki not being evil and crazy. Sighing, Akira trotted to the side of the room, where some other students were hiding from the madness. A few minutes after she got there, a voice rang out above all the others. "OKAY! WOULD EVERYONE BE QUIET?" As the room silenced in shock, Akira turned her head to see a dark-furred mouse with a mask on. The masked mouse continued, slamming a paw down on the table insistently. "We're getting nowhere by fighting! Let's make a plan so we can get Ayame back. That's what we're here for, isn't it?!" Akira sighed with relief and returned to the table. "Thank you," she said, looking to the strange masked mouse in curiosity and gratefulness. "What's your name?" "Jareth, but you can just call me Jared." Akira smiled hopefully. "Okay, we need to make a plan." Akira went on to explain how the tower was like a castle, with rooms and a grand spiral staircase to the top floor. Through surprisingly minimal argument, the group worked out a plan to help save Ayame together and agreed on different jobs for everyone based on their skills. -- Meanwhile... -- A dark figure stood atop a grandiose (albeit disheveled and crumbling) tower, gazing at the lush forest below - Ayame Dahmer. Her wings - originally a brilliant white - were muddled gray and tucked against her back like the robe that she adorned, clean and gorgeous despite her crummy and dusty hiding place. The breeze that caught her flowy carmine hair was cool and the sky above her was clear. Turning away from the window, she trotted over to a plush and recently-cleaned chair, sitting down and activating her power. She created five shadowy silhouettes of creatures, each of them menacing in appearance but nothing more than fleeting illusions meant for a single purpose. Smirking absently to herself, she gifted each creature with a dark crystal. She then dispersed them, sending them off in varied directions, one never too close to another. She closed her eyes, using her power to trace one of the silhouettes, able to see what it could see. She directed it to a nearby town, not far outside of the forest. The shadowy figure slunk through the town's alleyways, too speedy to be caught by the natural eye, scanning the area until it came across a black-and-white-furred mouse. Ayame made a noise of interest absently in the back of her throat, observing him, reading his history like an open book beneath her claw tips. She saw a child, playing and laughing like always, and then a vision of a new addition to the mouse's features, sleek frames and prescription lenses. The vision changed, darker around the edges, fraying like an old-timey movie. Cruel faces. Laughter. An unrelenting feeling of anger. The vision progressed further. A vision of red. Fire. Screaming. Blood. Ayame's smirk grew dark. This one would do. With a simple order transmitted through the mind, the creature left the crystal in a place where this new mouse would notice it. As it glinted in the light, the mouse's attention was directed to it. He picked it up curiously - after all, it was a valuable-looking gemstone. What if it was worth something? The crystal emitted a dark mist, swirling about him. Ayame whispered to him - a manipulative and coveting tone - and directed him towards her tower. With a sureness that he'd arrive, she turned her attention to another shadowy seeker. This silhouette was the one she'd ordered to the academy - a risky albeit beneficial move if she could pull it off. The academy's students were all gifted and powerful, and she shivered to think of the power she could covet from a minion there. She chuckled to herself as she directed the minion to morph into the shadows of the school's halls, slinking about until it reached a peculiar room - the one holding the group that was meant to find her. Wouldn't it be ironic, she thought, that someone who was supposed to be helping her beloved best friend to find her be working underneath her very paw? She couldn't help but grin at the revelation. The shadowy minion hid in the corner of the room until a female with a feathered hat caught Ayame's eye. Taking no measure for privacy, Ayame sifted through her history, memories, and the very thoughts she had even now. This girl acted cold, a chilly exterior with warmth on the inside. She pried further, revealing glimpses of blood, crying, sirens - dead parents, she figured immediately from the narrative of the memories - followed by teleportation as a manner of running, followed further by hiding, living about in the wild. A warm figure, a mentor. What a perfect little plaything. Now, Ayame thought to herself, is the tricky part. She knew very well how her beloved, shimmering crystals worked. After it chose a host, duplicates were created to corrupt mice with insecurities. The crystal's power relied purely on fear and sadness, which would spiral into anger and hatred. Ayame, being known for her strong morals and kind heart, was a good leader and unexpected to be evil. The crystal could taint anyone with even the tiniest hint of corruption hidden in their soul unless they truly were one hundred percent pure. Unfortunately for the academy, Ayame was not. The enchantress controlled her crystal with a powerful sense of confidence and fluidity, emitting an unseen mist that she directed towards the mouse she wanted, her puppet. She used the mist to creep into this mouse's thoughts - after all, her precious crystals held the dangerous power of being able to influence feelings, thoughts, and emotions - and led the girl outside of the room, with Ayame's minion trailing behind her with the crystal in its menacing and shadowy grip. After checking to make sure that the only mouse in sight was her target, Ayame commanded her minion to creep up behind the female student. Once close enough, the shadowy puppet pushed the crystal onto the girl. She looked back in astonishment, beginning to curse aggressively as the black mist enveloped her, but fell silent as it vanished. Ayame whispered to this girl like she had the first target, telling her to warp to her tower after giving her the direct coordinates, as the sorceress had seen her use the power in her past. As the girl prepared to follow through on the order, Ayame opened her eyes and stood up, pacing several paces to the window and glancing back at the door to see that her first target had arrived. The second followed shortly after, appearing in the room in a sudden and brief flicker of light. Ayame watched them settle themselves for a moment, looking around the room. Afterwards, the Enchantress (in her smooth voice and manipulative tone, as always) explained to them the details of her plan while her remaining shadowy puppets continued to search. Ayame grinned, a dark and giddy feeling blooming in her chest. Her plan was just starting to come to fruition. |
