Shadowwinter a dit : lul @2735748 by Karimthebest This map is pretty neat. I'm not sure about time but the first path should be the fastest. Um not much to change. Reveal more of the trampoline, change background to night or none. The earth on the left of the first hole. It's overlapping. Edit please c: That's about it pretty cool map but um it'll be good if the first two chambers had different themes. (Cause they're pretty similar). ------------------------------------ Delatex a dit : ![]() Black arrows: Please ensure that they are of some height and length. The ice I mean. Red arrow: Don't reveal this! It doesn't look good. Hide it under the chat box! Please align your map :3 Everywhere! There are more areas to improve and fix but I won't elaborate. I shall just display it in the picture below.. take time and see the difference. Learn and apply.. and.. Eat cheese) I see you're quite a budding map maker :3 heheh I suggest you look around the community, for good maps. -CFM has quite a few good maps which you can learn from. Note that aesthetics is very important in any map and that 10px grounds are not cool. A map is crafted with passion and skill so you should take time to fine tune your map. Here's my remake of your map :3 (Note that I changed the concept for the cheese bit at the end) ![]() Feel free to ask me for XML |

Mousechris a dit : I don't hate you. I'm not likely to vote on any applications at all either way because my interest lies in writing reviews, not judging applications. Even if I were to judge yours, I would base my decision on the content of the application, not the author of it. If you provide quality feedback and are genuinely interested in helping others improve their maps, you have a good application and will likely be accepted. If you aren't very helpful and don't seem interested in helping, then you have a bad application and will likely be rejected. Either way, your application determines the outcome, not your username. You should also stop assuming I hate you in general. I'm not a fan of your attitude, but I acknowledge that you make good maps either way. I don't let my personal opinion of a person's character cloud my reasoning. |

I applied for a tribe house position, I'm just interested on how you guys will critique one of my maps lol: @2277652 P22 tribe house. I can take out 1 ground thats unwanted, so there is only 1 ground remaning. I am aware of one mistake there. |

Maxxzinnn - @2890104 A wonderful tribe house, Max! :D I have a few tips to give you though: Raise the roof, and align the walls with the map. ![]() ![]() I’m guessing that the purpose of that ball is to give mice something to play with off-screen, but in actuality it makes the map seem unprofessional. Then again, it is also rewarding and fun to discover something to play with off-screen. I don’t know what sort of direction you wanted to take this map to, but the changes you make will be up to you. <: As for the teal colored markings, I suggest you shorten the length of those grounds so they can be more properly aligned with each other. - As for the trampolines, make the color on the white and red grounds a little darker! They contrast far too much with the other objects in the tribe house, and it’s quite off-setting in the map. - It might be too much to ask, but colored rectangle grounds would look better with this map. :o You can possibly even add some red/black designs to go with your map using the colored rectangles. The wood ground seems out of place with your choice of décor. - - In case you’re unfamiliar with changing things on an XML: - ![]() - Go to Temple’s Map Shifter. Paste your XML, make sure the “new lines” button is selected, and nothing else and press get code. This is indicated by the red arrow. See the T=”#” syntax, as indicated by the purple box? Replace T=”0” which means it’s a wood texture to T=”12”, which will make it into a colored rectangle texture. - - http://templemouse.blogspot.ca/2010/09/map-shifter.html - Once you’ve completed adding in all of the desired colored rectangles, you can upload the map back into your map editor and edit the colors to whatever you would like. Maybe black or red would do nicely. - I also suggest changing the mouse spawn and moving it elsewhere (possibly a chair). People usually like to “sleep” on beds while they watch tribe house videos (often saying things like “it’s my bad get off). It’s a plus to see that one afker in the tribe house to be placed out of the way when the map gets restarted. ^^ - As for the other half of the tribe house, there’s not much I can say, except for the décor. On the upper-right bed there appears to be an overload of decoration items. I suggest taking at least one decoration item away on this area. - As for the ball underneath the table, since mice can’t interact with it, it’s just décor. Very, very random décor at that. xD It’s your choice whether to remove it or not. |

@2297617 by Hunterelite: Alrighty. So. Lets begin. At first appearence, it looks like a room shaman map. You should make the wood squares a little bigger, and remove the clouds. Then, you should make the squares more secure for building. Now, the map as it is would take most shams too long to complete, and get saves. Perhaps, you can add more grounds, and make it sorta a check mark. Also, you could not have slanted grounds, and you can add ice to block, and force the sham to go one way, then come around. Try to add small, yet not boring obstacles to make the map interesting for the shaman. Keep trying! ^^ @2297483 by Hunterelite: Alrighty. Map 2 of you sir. Okay, first thing i saw. 10 pixeled grounds. Try to avoid 10 pixeled grounds because it can kinda destroy the look of the map. My suggestions are: 1: Make the grounds bigger. Make the grounds more interesting in size. Make different sizes, or stay consistant. Move them around, make new challenges. For example, you can make some grounds rotated, and not the other. Simple things like these, and you combine thme with your knowledge, you can get a good map. 2: The random grounds are.. random. The 10by10 cloud grounds are.. well. Not needed. I wolud say make the wood ground in which the mice are on, make that longer, get rid of the top ground, and add ice to it the sides, or you can keep the top, just make it ice, and make it so the mice can't jump and reach it without the shamans help. 3: Move the shaman spot. Make the shaman spot either opposite from the mice. (if mice are at cheese/hole make the shaman opposite of them. hole/cheese). 4: Lastly, the cloud grounds. The bottom one under the straight one, seems rather worthless, and brings no gameplay at all to the map. So, I would get rid of it. Oh, and don't forget to get rid of the grounds the shaman are on now, after you move the shaman. |

Zhichengzhan a dit : This was reviewed by Betalgueze. Let me find it. http://i46.tinypic.com/2prclzp.png 1- Blue is not an ideal colour for a tramp ground. 2- There's no point for those ice blocks when the tramp rest is at default. 3- Don't really see that being needed, whether you go the normal way or shortcut. 4- You can delete all those mini-chocos and make a brown circle with the same curve. 5- Grounds within grounds D: |

@1810211 by Hunterelite: Okayy. So. Caged shaman maps. They're really hard to make them good, as in for gameplay. I have a few suggestions: 1: Make the grounds bigger! You have so much room left to create a better, and more fufilling map. Make the grounds roomier for the shaman to build in. 2: Avoid hardmode holes. Hardmode holes tell the shaman where boards need to go. I would move the grounds so it gets rid of the holes. Then, the shaman can have a better, more intersting build. 3: Just adding ice in front of mice, doesn't really add a new challenge. Try to create a block in a new way! Add a different angle to the block, make the block actually block more then one way. not just one way. And, don't make the maps too difficult for newer mice. They get sad when they see a tough map. :c @1713041 by Hunterelite: Okay, so lets get started. A few suggestions: 1: The mice can "pro" it to the cheese. It's basically mice see mice do. A lot of mice will die, creating not a lot of saves for the shaman. 2: The cloud ground is unaligned, to make sure the ground covers the whole map, the length should be 800, and it should be centered at 400. (400x). 3: Where the shaman lies, it's sorta offscreen. I suggest, leaving the hole where it is, and get rid of the ice. Then, just drop the shaman down where the mice are. 4: Where the ice that "holds" the cheese, I would move those down to whre it touches the cloud ground. It looks better like that. Keep trying, you'll get there! ^^ |
