Green X - Never put the spawn offscreen. Put the spawn at the hole.
Blue Circles - Put the same ice here that you did on the other side so the map so it is symmetrical.
Red X - make this about 5 pixels more on length just so its not so luck based.
Red Line - the cj from the top of the earth ground to the Lava T is luck. Perhaps make the earth ground in the middle of the lava a bit longer.

Also add a roof because the bounce created by the lava is strong enough to get you offscreen where the green x is.

So, I have some suggestions for your map. :)

1: The map is almost proable for the mice! Which means the shaman doesn't have to build that much making the map too EASY.

2: The wood appears to have chocolate friction. Try not to mess with the friction on any grounds.

3: I suggest making the map more spread out, and utilizing most of the map space, and making it fun and intersting for the shaman.

4: Try not to make the map proable once mice get cheese, UNLESS the shaman has already built to the hole.

Keep working on it! ^^

Reviews per member

So far, Shadowwinter is the top reviewer with 32 total reviews. Dddin is also sending out reviews at a fast rate. Although I seem to have the highest map review count, 40 of those are probably from Zakros' thread so they shouldn't count.

The difference between the total here and the "reviewed" maps on the third table is actually for map reviews reserved in advance by the reviewers. These are not yet finished, but are already tagged to a reviewer.

Submissions per client

This table shows the total number of maps submitted per user. The difference between the grand total here and that of the third table is for maps still undergoing review, or whose completion status is uncertain.

Zarner and Dunald are so far the biggest patrons of the group, but some of their submissions were from Zakros' thread. The biggest client who isn't a reviewer is Hunterelite, followed by Karimthebest. We notice here an abundance of clients with two reviews or less so we probably should do more brand-building via improving our review quality. Go team!

Some suggestions:

1: I wasn't completely positive about what did what to the map. It should be more obvious that the ground covering cheese gets rid of the ground under mice.

2: Remove the Ca="" and replace it with color grounds with foreground color 6a7495. It's not really needed to have the Ca=""?

3: The gameplay is okay I guess. I think it can be made better, by perhaps using the glitch in a better, and new way.

Nice map. ^^

DUNALD: First of all, P4 maps are supposed to require a shaman. This map doesn’t.
I’m not sure if you’re unaware of this, or if you just submitted it in the wrong category.

Thanks, I guess I mean to submit it for Misc, so I'll resubmit it.
But you are wrong on the all shaman maps need a shaman. Here's three: @186482 @173231 @165741.
They are all old maps so I guess that's the exception.
But I guess they are "supposed" to, so that's fine.

The last one is a bit of a strech, but it's been done.

Here's some other ones I would like to submit, but if it's only one per submission, then only review the resubmitted the first one.

Alright! A P8 map.

Okay. Suggestions:

1: Don't make the ground at the bottom sink. Instead, cut it into two, then split each "two" in half and make them opposite of them, then add ice so the shammy has to build over the ice.

2: Why are the properties of the groudns changed.. make them so shaman objects tough the grounds.

3: Move down the hole, and the grounds by the hole by about.. 20 pixels.

4: Try to add more than one way to do this map. Than, the shammys can make it fun, and interesting instead of one build.

5: This map was kinda easy for P8. When making a P8 map, you can make the map a little harder. There's 2 shams with easy mode. :)

P4 map c:

Suggestions:

1: This map doesn't really show a very good use of cloud ground.. so either get rid of it, or adjust some grounds to make the map a little tougher.

2: I would get rid of the two ices in the middle, and make them one big ice.

3: It has about 1 maybe 2 ways to build. Try to add more ways.

Other than these suggestions, I liked the map! ^^

1- Move lava up a bit, cause there is always the problem when lava and ice seem connected well until you hit it where it intersects and then you end up flying somewhere.
2- Move ice right, so that part won't be too animation based.
3- With the same explaination as 1, move lava down a bit.
4- Default choco friction please, too much friction actually makes choco walljumping worse.
5- Widen ice or move ice left, so that running and jumping on top of lava won't be animation based.
6- Merge down with vertical ice.

1- The trajectory of the tramps is kinda not well done, hitting the first one too hard will make you hit the second one too hard and miss standing on ice. While hitting the first tramp too weak will cause you to fail reaching the other side. Preferabbly you should weaken the first tramp to the right amount where when you get a good bounce and do that part without much fails.

1- Getting from water to the top of that lava is extremely animation based, you should probably make a wood or choco ground to grip.
2- There are lots of open lava corners which is really bad. Most of the time they instantly kill, but always on occasion they provide a very unwanted shortcut. Should patch those up with 10x10 ice grounds or provide some other alternative.
3- Make a roof to prevent getting on top of the map, or make vertical ice grounds that extended all the way to the ceilnig deathline.
4- While lava warping to the other side, these open corner spots just shoot you off to some other direction and either kill you or as said, another unwanted shortcut.

It really depends on the sort of person you are, or what kind of maps you enjoy the most in Transformice. :D
What's easy for some people can be difficult for others. If you take a look around, most map makers make maps that are geared towards one or two specific categories.

Pick your favorite type of map. If you don't have one, do you prefer to get firsts, saves, or play bootcamp? ^^
You should be able to find what's the easiest for you.

Well from helping chris make maps I think I like making racing and anything that pureply realys on gameplay, what cat's would have that besides racing?

It depends on your mapmaking knowledge of mapmaking, if you know Mechs then P6 has a universe of gameplay to explore, but if your knowledge of mech is lacking, then I would suggest exploreing shaman maps

I've already reviewed this map. It is on page 14 post 4. Although I will get started on the ones that I can do (Sorry Imangrybird I can't review your P9 yet. Still don't have enough mice ;;).

Interesting map here.
The concept of these circle jumping is new I guess. To me.

Black arrow: Change to a tramp ground.
Red arrows: Put this circle over the ice.
Red box: Put cheese here instead.

-Optional-
Blue box: Elongate and fatten the ice a little. Block the mice since the path is a little short.
Yellow arrow: Make tramp.
Black line: Like this mice can go this path instead
-/Optional-
Oh if you choose not, still, make the ice fatter. 10px ice is ugly.

The hole and clusters of ice on the top left corner, why you put that there o.o, remove.

Ok um aesthetics really need to be improved. As I said previously, fat ice is ugly. Bare ice next to each other is worse. If you have spare grounds, either add a earth ground in it or you change it to one grass ground. The big ice on the right remove that and perhaps change that to grass too. A small one not reaching the middle of the map (since you don't need it to block anything.)
There's a gap between the two tramps on the right you may want to patch them.

Did you know, if you removed all the tramp except the middle two it's still solvable?

Red arrows: REMOVE. The tramps in water don't do anything. Much.
Green arrows: Change to grass. Please big ice grounds are ugly.
Black thingy: Move this ice to the right like this. Put cheese in it.
Oh and the middle verticle ice, can you move it up slightly.
Align your water grounds to the top of wherever it's touching. Some overshoot.

In fact, you should change ALL the ice into either grass or stone. Only line the faces of the wall which need 0 friction with a bit of ice.
