it still looks kinda off, imo (its left eyelid is a lot more open than the right one). i think i'd redraw it from scratch

Actually, the eye makes it really cute. Makes it your own style and looks chibi-ish. The legs might be a tad bit long, tho.

why is the eye drawn over the fish

i understand a lot of people draw eyes over everything but that doesn't mean it should be that way. it's improper anatomy.

The fish was a quick fix, the legs might take some more time! But I totally agree with you both, I kinda knew something looked off ^-^

Just gotta make sure that the eye also is under the hair too :^)

I use my phone to draw, so the app I use isn't really giving me much to do for the legs :<

I feel in general, your main problem is that you are drawing base on your own imagination without understanding or knowing how the real thing looks like. It is not wrong to have your own style or interpretation on how something looks, but it is best to know the basics before breaking the rules of them.

I would advise that you should just search up references of mice and eyes to give yourself an idea how it looks, then start
BUT if you want to stick with your style for now, I would say that the pupil (the thing you colored red) is too small, thats why it is making it look creepy. Especially for cats, the bigger their pupil, the more adorable they look, also eye reflection (The white dot on eyes) contributes to cuteness

Won't cover the leg and finger anatomy, but i would focus on pose.
If you were trying to avoid something in front (in this case, to stop yourself from slipping down the ice), you would not lean forward because your centre of gravity (weight) would be in front, making you more likely to move forward than backwards.
Your mice seems to be leaning forward in this case. In my sketches you can see the mice leaning back, partly due to fear, another is a reaction to stop yourself (but it is impossible because its ice lol)
Watching videos of 4-legged animal creatures on frozen ice helped me a lot, and thats why sometimes a bit of reference is a no problem!

I'd like a critique ASAP-- it's for a contest, and I'm pretty late so I only hae 3-4 days left. Redline would be extremely helpful.

It's not complete yet, but it's supposed to be a cat. That pose wouldnt be uncomfortable, right? Also, the belly, I cant seem to find a more comfortable look to it; it either looks like it's too fat or awkward. What position would be best for the tail? The canvas size isnt too large, so a suggestion for that would be huge help too (:

The blue is supposed to be a puppy that is going to be biting at the cat's ears, but there's one huge problem
I'm not sure how to place the puppy's body over the cat's body without making it look like it's being sucked into a vortex.. So I'd like major help with that one too.
The chest looks awkward and hard to breath, the paws are flimsy and are positioned weird, and I think the jaws are too wide, but I tried fixing all that to no avail
