That's more random and definitely less fun and more difficult. Doing it the right way is not a challenge at all but it is enjoyable.

Just skip 2 and go straight to 3.

I can't really argue against how fun it is because that's purely subjective. I certainly wouldn't say it's more difficult or random though, you get 99% accuracy just jumping into the left side of the lava and holding left and jumping.

It's just a questionable part of the map. I used to do it the way shown in your solution pic but after finding out the simple route, I don't think that any player would really go for the other path. There are those who do do it your way for the fun factor, I guess.

It's just a minor nitpick with the map though; the rest of the map is fine.

It appears to have inadvertently been made easier when editing the roof for the high velocity end of the map. Not a big deal imo and I still think if you're playing bootcamp for the sake of enjoying it you'll go the fun way. I've never been against shortcuts, though, even if they're purely knowledge-based.
