Well there's a issue. If you go offline by lying, you might have trouble with the friend's list.

BUT:

When you click "Offline" You might log out online or the standalone will close.

Support, since it's just like a chatting status thing.

sometimes i go into a room and lock it so i can test my totem and then my friend whisphers me asking for the password

No, When you just get online it will be automatically saved that you are online, then you can choose if you want to continue to be offline or online!
