I usually look at the profile of the mice in there for recruiting so I know if they are experienced enough to usually pick left. Therefore I get the majority of the room whether they are experienced or not. Afterwards if it is mostly 'pro' I go to the right. Mostly 'noob', I go to the left.

Math is boring, but helps me sometimes x_x
