I do like the color better but I do think the name on the bubble needs to go. The entire chat interface needs a new update to be honest. It hasn't changed much at all since the game was created. Also they've tried changing the chat bubbles before (http://i.imgur.com/Gs72IGb.png) a few years ago i think. The players disliked it and they ended up changing it back. Who knows maybe they'll change it back again.

Hello sydo. There are multiple things i like and dislike about the new chat update. I really do like the the text font, color and the background color. However, it does not fit well with the chat interface. If the chat got a revamp in the similar style i think it would look great. I greatly dislike the name in the chat bubble. Its not needed (at least I've never had problems without it) and its weird that only 3 letters show up. Its not very helpful. Its also kinda weird for users with long usernames like mine. For example only [Pla] shows up for me... Please take my suggestions into consideration. Thank you very much.

I've never looked at a chat bubble and thought, gee, I wish the mouses name was repeated there before I get to the actual content. The name is unnecessary and the shortening to three letters gives some users very unflattering nicknames.

The darker background is also rather distracting. I rather make the chat below easier to read for those with poor eyesight than make the bubbles stand out even more.

Why re-implement something that had already been implemented and removed before?
The players didn't like it then and there's a good chance they don't like it now.
For one, the chat bubble itself is extremely distracting. It covers up a lot of the playing area and it doesn't fit well in with the game. There really wasn't anything wrong with the old chat bubbles, as you can easily look down at the chat box to find out who said what. It's not necessary to have the name repeated.
And about the name itself. Why does it have to be by the first 3 letters? I don't want to have [Rub] put beside everything I say. I don't want to be Rub, and chances are, there are plenty of other inappropriate nicknames made out of this shortening system.

So basically, to sum up my feelings. I strongly dislike this update, and I don't think it was necessary. It takes away from the game and the bubbles are distracting, and I would really hope this would be taken into account and the chat bubbles would be changed back to normal.

One reason I dislike this is because it is very distracting (especially using the light blue for the first three letters of a mouse's username). Another reason why I dislike it is because we already have the chat so we will know who is talking. Also, it would display the same three letters for different users (especially since I know some usernames that start with Game or Gamer).

This update would've been useful if there was no chat and the username max was 3, but I don't see how this might have been useful in some other situation.

Nor can I x) But I'm pretty sure a lot of others do hate being addressed by the first three letters of their username.

Judging from the feedback so far and that Sydoline's asked what people think of it, I have a feeling it'll at least be getting some minor tweaks in the coming updates.
