[Lua Event] PL Independence |

I'm sorry if I always have to be the one to vent in each announcement lmao, but I like to state my opinion straightly without faking or saying stuff like ''O em g so coool *_*'' just like everyone does without meaning it honestly. Aight, first of all... Did you guys realize there's literally a fanmade lua related to Polish indipendence, made official, which mainly no one could care less about? (except of course the PL community itself and few people really interested to this fact), added simply because Admins don't have time anymore to make events so they have to rely on volounteers? Come on! We didn't even have an event for Trump winning the elections two years ago, and yet everyone is forced to celebrate Polish Politics on a mouse game? This, this sounds ridiculously hilarious to me XD. (hey, I'm Polish too, so don't reply saying that I'm racist or whatever!) Point of my message is: there are so many ideas that could turn into a cool events (for example the previous Halloween event was indeed something different than usual event routine, and was awesome) but instead we're here left with Politics of literally an ''unknown'' country?? It is also kind of selfish if you think about it, mainly because the creators are from Poland... Dernière modification le 1542628560000 |

There's a Polish event because the Polish community has people who know how to programme it, something that a lot of other communities do not have. Same with the Turkish Children's Day event years ago. It happened because there were people from Turkey who knew how to make it. If you want each community to have their own event, every community needs someone who knows how to programme it. I don't see why, for example, the Polish community would make an event for the Russian community. The Polish community wanted to create something special for them, and if they had the resources for it, and admin's approval, why shouldn't they do it? |

a Hebrew fixed translation: שלום עכברים! Too bad it's all coming up after the launch of the event, the team behind it should have asked for more feedback I guess. But the idea to make a lua event for this rather special and round anniversary was awesome, I'm glad they did anything at all :0 Now please, addressing especially what @Ares said above: PL is still one of the biggest communities in TFM. In the statistics released between 2010 and 2015 it was the third biggest community. Even if nobody outside of PL cared about this, it still makes over 5,8 million potential accounts who do, and many more registered after 2015. It is also nothing new to have a lua event about a national day. Actually, quite a lot of countries had a themed event in Transformice, remember? Every year since 2012 there's an official Carnival event (Brasil), featuring items, titles, badges and such. It is the biggest community after all! Then there's the Turkish Children's Day, a lua event featuring items and titles, which have been celebrated four times so far. Both of these are a lot more universal, I agree, but there were also two Independence Day events, one for the USA and one for India, as well as a National Day for France. Having one more, for one of the biggest communities in the game and for a rather special and round anniversary, is nothing new and nothing bad in my opinion. The execution? Could have been different, though the mechanics are cool. Was it selfish? I think it is more an educational opportunity for others than a selfish act for us. You decide what to take out of it. |

Admins are indeed looking for new events, but that doesn't mean they'll accept any bullshit. This event became something because it DESERVED. I agree that mixing it with politics was not the best idea, but it's still something. Lua events are not supposed to be ALWAYS big as the Pizzeria one. There are simpler ones just like the Piñata one and Independency related. They did not bring anything "super new", but they're there because they were well coded, well done, because they have a gameplay that satisfied admins. People spent time working on this project, it's terrible that you don't show a bit of consideration. Dernière modification le 1542553620000 |

I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to be appreciative about the fact these lua events are forced upon us. It's impossible to enjoy the original game anymore since it gets disrupted by all of these event maps every 20 minutes. |

Anythin a dit : For your information, Lua events are not forced on you it only lasts 3-5 minutes minimum. They do not disturb the normal game play flow or the leader board and it is an official event, so it is not forcing anyone as it is an in-game feature. Poland independence is like the rest of the independence events that no one seems to complain about and it was loved by the players and if you hate this idea that happens almost 1 year or 2 years once by the lua members then I am not sure why you are mad about it. Universal themes are not original and very familiar with the players as they can expect what to do and what the event will be centered about. However, trying something new and different from the universal boring expected themes is interesting and entertaining. Sir a dit : Who are you, so we can care a little bit about your response? Barberserk a dit : The equation is not a new part in the lua events as it has been used in many different previous lua events, it is similar in game play, but different theme and more original but with a twist. Ares a dit : That's what people call "Being thankful and appreciating for someone's hard work". isn't that the same thing you do with the admins? something like that maybe? Beside it is not like the admins forced their volunteers to make events because they are busy. The volunteers did it to help out the admins and keep the players interested in the game with a new twist every now and then out of their free time, and the fact that the upcoming event which is Christmas is going to be recycled by the admins but the lua events are pretty new and beautifully made by artists and programmers is actually pretty attracting to try new stuff, and the admins were on board this idea and inserted bunch of items for the players to get through the lua events such as, the catrouche and the badges. The Polish independence is actually a pretty interesting theme and very knowledge worthy. It might not be for you since you are polish, but for others like me who started being interested in Poland and want to know more about their civilization and their culture through a fun way via a mouse game. Regarding the cool events you mentioned, they are pretty generic ? common? known and everyone expect them? it is okay to try something different with a twist every now and then. You don't have to be strict and stick to the normal casual routine of events. Anythin a dit : Hello, I suppose from that that you do not appreciate the hard work that is been put into this event because it is forced upon you? So basically you are saying that you are mad at lua events and the lua members for making the event pop up in normal rooms from time to time and the event that is different than the normal game play and lasts only 3 minutes? You can use the contact form to contact the admins and address this "issue" of yours to them because the lua members are incapable of doing any changes within the game coding it self. However, if you mean that they should stop because you are getting annoyed by the fact it pop ups every now and then... Who are you? you are just a player like everyone else. The team can't satisfy everyone if you hate this game leave otherwise accept whatever happening within the game of new features and events because if you don't build your case to actually tell the admins to stop or limit the lua events that happens yearly then you have no right to tell the team members to stop doing what they can do to provide other players with an enjoyable time. Sorry Dinko, but as far as your response may be full of burning passion part of it makes no sense to me, expecially when yo address other that have a different opinion on LUA events with you saying "You are not a vip in game so your opinion is irrelevant" that is honestly really disturbing. As for me, I do appreciate the effort but I do not want to take part in a LUA event that has to do with politics. My idea my course of action but it has to be respected. As for other people concern we currently have an event ongoing, that sometimes strikes you with 3 maps in a row (adding the total time up to 6ish minutes of not playing) and 2 lua events. IMHO it makes the flow of the game a bit dispersive but I'm fine with that. |

Dinko a dit : Since this is a public thread about a lua event I can use it to address the issues I have to the admins. I am not here to kiss everyone's ass and telling them what a great job they did when I don't enjoy these events. You telling discontent players to just leave the game doesn't help your case in any way. Dinko a dit : Retrovaille already pointed out how the accumulation of event maps severely disrupts the gameplay. It would be only 3-5 minutes if it was just a single map, but this is certainly not the case with the Halloween event. Granted, the Halloween event isn't a lua event, but the fact two lua events are running simultaneously to the Halloween event isn't helping at all. There have been complaints about prior independence day events. The main concerns have always been that it only caters to a specific group of people rather than the entire playerbase. Being proud of your nation and it's independence is one thing, it is another when it's shoved in everyone's face. Dea_bu a dit : I don't know what expectations you have of me, but I don't think it's rude or disrespectful to dismiss the national pride of a random country when it's being shoved in my face just like that. You're entitled to your own opinion though. |
