You couldn't log on because the server was backing up. It usually does that around this time. It seems the forums do the same thing around this time and make it impossible to log in or edit your profile.

New staff are recruited when the current team feels like they need more help. It's difficult to find people that are willing to volunteer their time while meeting the criteria to be a staff member. In-game staff applications were just open back in January and people were hired from the pool. They have to go through their time as an arbitre and, if more public moderators are needed, could possible be promoted. If the current team feels as though they have everything under control, applications won't open and people won't be promoted.

I know it's frustrating when no public moderators are online, but you can still use /report so that secret moderators can check those reports. If you have a question you need to ask or you are having a problem, you can always private message a moderator or contact them through IRC.

Who knows really, if it's not something obvious like a new fur or items on sale then it probably has something to do with bug fixes.

I would say export it as a tribe house just so it isn't played in public rooms while you're waiting to here back from Mapcrew on your submission.

It usually doesn't matter what racing maps are exported as, you can export them as P0 or P22 and it won't make much difference.

All minigames with different gameplay (survivor, vampire survivor, defilante, etc.) should all be exported as tribe houses though.

They're all the same price they were before, though.

If it's not announced it's bug fixes or hack patches, or something internal such as an update for mods or Lua team.

Obviously the current team does need help. Why do they only recruit people with good stats? Can't they just find a mature person who's old enough and been playing for like a year or so? It' not rocket science. And there's no point in reporting because mods are never on to check them anyways. it could be days after the incident and nothing would be done, by then the person could have made multiple accounts. And lol what's the point of secret mods if they don't help? I've reported so many people for hacking, spam and racism etc. They don't get punished.

It's harder to find suitable applicants than you think. It seems like only people with good stats are recruited because they are the people that know the game best and are willing to volunteer their time. Moderators don't take stats into account when recruiting new staff. They could recruit a mature person who's old enough who hasn't been playing all that long if they felt like they would make a good addition to the staff. There could very well be some of those people in the team now. Remember, you don't know all the staff members. Though there are only a few public moderators, there are many staff members that stay out of the public eye.

Using /report is always the best option whether there are mods online or not. If there are mods online, use /report and then whisper them. If there aren't any online, some could be online on an alt account dealing with reports so they aren't being flooded with whispers on their public accounts.

Punishments can also be handled privately. Mods can choose if they want the moderation message to show in the room, so you really don't know if the person has been dealt with or not (unless they are still online and talking in public chat).

Thank's helped a bit, but still. Anyone is better than no one, and half the reports i do send and the person keeps on being a little asshole.

How detailed are your reports?
I would guess having proof like a screenshot would improve the verification of the report.

Anyone is better than no-one? Personally I'd rather have no moderators than ones that just ban whoever they feel like, act immaturely, abuse their powers, and don't do their jobs.

As for sending ingame reports, bare in mind 2 people in the same room as the user need to report them for it to count, and the report disappears for moderators once the reported user logs off.

Reports don't necessarily need to have any detail, reporting for something like "hack" alone should get a moderator's attention, even if you say "fly hack" would help them figure out what the problem is.

Screenshots can help but moderators never ban purely off of screenshots.
