There were a couple people that drew and suggested this fur, but by the looks of it, Melibellule took the design suggestion from Xvostik0_0#0000
I am unsure of the case for this but as far as I know, the creators/suggestors of a drawn item will receive it in-game for free.
Edit: I will alert Meli and make sure she gets it to you!

So those with similar fur ideas that goes into the shop gets to have its fur? That's nice to hear, that can prevent conflicts.

I think it can be kind of conflicting because all kinds of drawn suggestions are everywhere and some can be so very similar, there could even be players from years ago (i.e 2015) who previously drew the suggestion and isn't aware of it's implementation because another user just recently had submitted their drawn suggestion that made it become an in-game item. I also hope it's not taken advantage of and users who truly didn't drawn and suggest the item lie and say that they did and provide some quick drawing of the item they did but they never shared it in any suggestion channels or forums, so I feel far more supportive to only crediting the main design / suggestion Meli drew from.

As long as we can find proof of their suggestion on the forum or in the server channel for suggestions, it would seem right to me.

Your worst case is actually the best case. It is possible for an item to never go on sale or for it to take years to go on sale due to how the sale system works. Lets take shaman items for example. There are 105 existing shaman shop items. Sales last 5 days and there is always 1 shaman item on sale. That accounts for 525 days worth of sales. However there is no guarantee that a specific item will go on sale and due to sales being random you can have the same items go on sale a second time.

These numbers are even worse for furs (which there are 141; 705 days worth of sales) and FAR worse for everything else (523 saleable items; 1308 days worth of sales).

Care to guess why I HATE the collector system?

the way to improve the collector is for the devs to gradually release older collector items to the shop as permanent items.Once a week or month

The new bat's price was set at 140 cheese by mistake for a few minutes, very lucky whoever bought it. Now it's 1400 cheese, criminally expensive.
