Besides the friends list part I don't really see a difference between this function and the already existing guest feature. Yes, you're unable to talk when on a guest, but at the same time isn't that the whole purpose of this suggestion?

Also, to what extent is it useful to appear offline while you're in the same room as your friends? It means they can see you're online and will talk to you anyways.

So this suggestion doesn't really offer any new function to the game, therefore I do not support this.
