Spartanninja a dit : Exactly. It's giving players with consumables an advantage over those who don't have them. Spartanninja a dit : Walljumping is an exploit which has existed since the game's launch, and can be performed by anyone. Ball jumping requires consumption of a limited item that may not be available to all players at any given time. Based on your argument, we should just require everyone to arm themselves with consumables, in the event that someone else might try to use them to gain an unfair advantage. | everyone has the ability to get consumables because they are earned items, and let alone those items can be traded to anyone. |

Mousechris a dit : Is it therefore justified to use them to cheat? |

Primeside a dit : getting ahead isn't "cheating" because anyone can do it. |

| Actually this is just like a Shaman favoring someone, except that the player is using a consumable to make the map easier for him. It's not like he is hacking. |

Mousechris a dit : If you had paid attention to my first post: Primeside a dit : I hate to repeat myself, but you supported my above statement exactly. "Other people are doing it, so it's justified." Not a particularly compelling argument. Dernière modification le 1441223460000 |

| And like I said anyone can get consumables, just because one person doesn't have them doesn't mean they can't go get them. If there is a time when they cannot be earned then eventually all players will lose their consumables from using them. So I still don't see how I'm "supporting" what you say. |

Primeside a dit : I'm pretty sure that consumables have been consistently available in some form for over a year now. I don't think it's technically "limited." If you want to complain about using consumables to your advantage, then I recommend pushing for a ban on shaman spirits and literally every item a shaman can spawn. Mightybyne a dit : Mods can't be everywhere at once. If nobody reports them, there's nobody to blame but yourself and others for them not being banned. |

Mousechris a dit : Because you're saying that instead of trying to prevent players from cheating, the community should just load their accounts up with consumables just in case someone else in the room decides to abuse them. In other words, everyone should just join in and become part of the problem. Haruhitastic a dit : Shamans are an integral part of the game; building is often required for players to clear maps. Consumables (particularly balls, in this case) are items collected by players individually, and they are being used to gain an advantage over other players, i.e. obtaining cheese and firsts otherwise impossible without the shaman's help. I highly doubt this was their intended purpose. Dernière modification le 1441237080000 |

| Yeah they should join in just like how people joined in on wall jumping just like how people joined in on any form of getting the extra edge over the over players... and they aren't abusing the consumables because these consumables were designed with collision in mind. |

Primeside a dit : No, but don't act like the admins aren't stupid and didn't expect this to happen. I'm sure they were very aware of the consequences, this being one of them. You missed my point however, considering that this is literally no different than a shaman spawning a ball or a spirit under mice and them being lucky enough to catch it. |

| If this is really an issue than the admins should just remove mouse collision with all consumables, trollers can still troll with them having ground collision, and mice can still play with them. People shouldn't be banned for something the admins built into the game. |

| I think non-collidable consumables has been something users have been asking for since day one. |

| I know, I just wish they don't get removed though, the mouse collision offers extra trolling Like just look at this, it's beautiful ![]() |

| Okay I'm just going to point out: not EVERYBODY can get the items because for some people events are to difficult or because other reasons not EVERYBODY CAN have consumables so I believe it is unfair okay bye |

| sometimes when a baller wants to use this trick, another player could've jumped first and get the cheese. But this doesnt mean that the player is a 'glitch abuser", it was just a coincidence. heck, that player could've been a newbie and it would be considered luck. I say we remove the collision between consumables and shaman items instead because getting someone to screw up your build is more annoying than having someone getting ahead of you. |

Haruhitastic a dit : If we go by their history, it's much more likely that they had no clue what was going to happen before implementing the change. Also, the whole argument is silly. Say there was a feature in the game where if you play x amount of hours per day, you get a boost to your jumping height. People who aren't online enough don't get that boost. You'd be ok with it? Well that's ball-jumping right there. Consumables aren't available for anyone but those who play a lot, which makes it incomparable to wall-jumping or shamans or anything else in the game. Even the old lava/water glitch is more easily defended since it at least is available to everyone. And no goat, being able to accurately jump off a ball to great heights immediately after summoning it yourself is obviously an unintended mechanic, which makes it essentially a bug. If you honestly think it's not glitch abusing, then I guess we should allow consumables for map records aswell? :-) Dernière modification le 1441279560000 |
