I think this suggestion is great. There's one idea that I came up with while reading this: When you make an offer in the trade center, your items are deposited in the trade center so you don't forget you're still offering the trade. If you log out, the items are returned to your inventory.

I as some comments said, there are already rooms for trading like the #trade room for the winter events. But this is obviously for trading consumables and other event items too.
