a dit : I am 10000% sure that people who apply to be a moderator and Mean it are actually aware of these stuff. They know the community quiet well so it's not like it's such an impossible thing. It's not paid,yes,and so what. You know that before getting into it. If you become a mod hoping to be "paid" something then,well,better don't? Some of us would gladly volunteer to do it just because,hey,maybe we like it. Plus,we love the game so want to "keep it clean". I don't really see how admins have anything to do with this,really. They do their thing-you do yours. I am fairly sure that the few admins left have better stuff to do (keep the game alive) rather than fire mods due to dumb reasons. Sorry that happened to you though. It does matter if there are active or inactive mods as the team seems dead. You can look at smaller communities and see what? Active mods. Why? Because they somehow manage to pick candidates that: a). Are active and enjoy playing the game b). Have time to moderate despite their daily routine c). People with different programmes are picked. I'm not saying it's so easy to do,all I am saying is that if more dedication and interest was put into it the game COULD be better. If you are too stressed-Don't come online that day. That's why the team needs MORE active moderators. That's literally the whole point of it. As for rewarding them for their hard work-We do if deserved. There's plenty of time when people draw fanart for mods,send them their thanks etc etc. If that appreciation ain't enough then you're expceting too much from being a moderator in a mouse game. As in keeping the game alive means reclicled events and furs Upon furs. Honestly it's been many years already we get nothing because of any random game A801 tries to sell us as the next big thing that ends up being a huge failure. What has been done by admins since the early start was being convinced of their opinions and never listen to anyone. First Farming, favoing, ummoderated chat and cafè, Total Freedom for account sharing (because all the top 10 mice in this game history are shared, so you know) and hackers (same applies) let the playerbase become toxic whilst admin turned their back to "normal players" Just replying "TrOlLInG iS pArT oF tHe GaMe". Whitout realising that the issue was rapidly slipping out of their hands. The worst part Is that at this stage they are not aware yet of the state of their communities in game. As they only keep around them asskissers and Friends. You can see that from the cringy streaming on twitch Dernière modification le 1579761960000 |

You guys seem to be on discord more often and chilling and more active there then being on the game, half of the mods I see on discord I never see them on E2 or EN. I know which ones are E2 or EN but really I've never seen some of the people who are active on forums online. I only see the same ones online all the time. You guys do your job when you are online but that seems like only 5% when I ever play. I honor what you guys do since it takes time but please fill the modo list with active people. |

Hi! Fifteen moderators recently left for inactivity, so that’s something we’re working on. We would love ANY other feedback that can help the team other than “you’re all inactive, hire more active mods.” |
18 | ||
Since it has already been said multiple times in this thread, any further replies along the lines of “the moderation team is inactive” without specific feedback (eg. open applications more) will be moderated. As Gavin pointed out, the in-game moderator team recently addressed this as 15 moderators stepped down. They continue to address this by opening applications every six months, and will now be giving feedback to applicants on how they can improve. When I was a moderator, I would maybe see two reports from the EN/E2 community when I logged in. If reports not being addressed is as big of a problem as it’s being made out to be in this thread, what specific problem is not being addressed? Is it one that is too complicated to use the /report system, or are players just not reporting? Dernière modification le 1579803600000 |

I believe the issue is that we need mods to be in-game more. The report tool is useful, but that is reactive. I recommend a more proactive approach. The mere presence of a mod in a room makes rule-breakers very unlikely. Off course no one can be in-game 24/7, but if every mod stays like at least 1h a day in-game, not overlapping with each other, that would be an amazing feat. That would require a schedule to be filled upfront by each mod according to their availability (every week?), but that's too much work, or is it? That requires a lot of team work and commitment. Do you guys have it? |

After plenty of comments that talking about ''inactive mods'' i would like to share my opinion and adress what i personally think is the biggest problem. EN/EN2 isnt a very big community (atleast the past few years where the game lost a lot of players dramatically) and that means we dont need 30+ public mods and plenty of private ones but that doesnt mean they are not welcomed to help the community and help other servers as well. Clearly after 15 mods stepped down wont increase your chances to become a mod. as mods mentioned already they are opening mod apps every 6 months or so and they pick whoever has what it takes. The biggest issue is that people actually not using the report system, its not the ''inactive mods''. Yes a lot of people want to whisper the mods and call them to check out a hacker or someone who's insulting, but a lot of mods are working by the report system. We are all aware that we have had a lot of ALT mods for whatever reasons, So reporting will help those people since players cant contact them when they are on their main accounts. Same goes to public mods that are using their main accounts, they can use alts to avoid the whisper spams and whatever else. Right now there is only 1 mod online and that is an EN mod which means they will probably get whispers from every single server to check something. So whispering a mod is not always a good thing, thats why we have the report system. As link mentioned already there are barely EN reports which proves the whole point If you guys want to see a change make sure you are ready to do something aswell in order to help. Also lets talk about VPN and how mods cant constantly deal with that. there are a lot of BoS players in every server, im sure if you are playing the game you will notice people coming back 10 seconds after they got banned, same goes to hackers, VPN is considering both as good and bad thing but lets be real, if any of you were a mod im sure you wouldnt stay in the same room for 10 hours straight to ban 1 single person whos keep coming back, we should understand that mods are putting an effort here too but they cant do it forever, i suggested blocking VPN access but apparently its hard and another reason is that some people are using it to actually play the game, so WE have to deal with those people on daily bases and we cant blame mods for that. the only thing we can do is actually report them and wait until they get banned and come back funny right? Lets not go too harsh on mods and try to see the effort they put, (: |

I do agree with what Sofstatic said about players not utilizing the /report system. Cannot stress enough how many times there are players throwing demeaning and derogatory insults in general chat, yet only a few mice will use /report. Completely understandable mods cannot moderate every single room at once. It really stems down to both mods and players working together. Maybe if mods or sents can implement a stickied educational thread on the forum (or discord, I am not sure how that works but sounds like a lot of players are active on there) explaining what /report does and the karma you get from it/what karma does. I didn't originally know there was karma attached to using the /report system and it is possible other players don't either. |

I will reply to your post this once, since it includes a whole lot of misinformation that can be deceiving for other players. If you have any other questions about the matter, please refer to the Staff FAQ or contact a moderator in private. Alexa172001 a dit : Players do not get banned solely for using a VPN. As you probably know, most free VPN services have public IPs. If you get banned for "hacking" while using a VPN, its cause another player used the exact same VPN/IP and actually broke the rules. This is why we advice people not to alter their IP in any way. Using a VPN in itself is not against the rules, aslong as you don't use it to evade a ban or break the game rules in any other way. If you do happen to be banned by the anti-hack system solely for using a VPN, you should contact the admins about the issue seen as this is not supposed to happen. Contact a mod if you believe this might be the case, and they will guide you on how or if you should contact the admins. Alexa172001 a dit : I think you seem to have misunderstood what the player above you meant. He is specifically saying that even if theres no public mods online, there may be private mods online that can handle reports the exact same way as a public mod does. Furthermore, a report will not show up in the system for us unless two or more players report said person, which is why he is urging other players to use /report. |

I think you have misunderstood aswell since my point was "Mods do not deal with VPN" issues. Since this person above kept saying people keep coming back so oh my god poor mods. Reality is,whether you like to admit or not,all you guys gotta do is watch the rooms. Not even for that long if it's about a hack. Look at some messages if for spam/phishing and that's it. Also second misunderstanding is that I always play with my friends,so we report together. I am aware of more people being needed so your point is invalid. Around half of our reports are never dealt with so maybe that's why people don't report anymore, don't you think? ^^ |

Alexa172001 a dit : I dont know what you mean by "mods do not deal with VPN issues." How exactly can we improve on this? We ban a player if they're breaking the rules. Using a VPN alone is not against the rules. Mods do not make the rules, we only enforce them. Alexa172001 a dit : If we physically play in a room to watch over that room, we will get feedback on us not watching reports. If we watch reports for too long, we get feedback on not watching specific rooms for a longer period of time. It is impossible for one individual to fulfill both at the same time - we cannot be at multiple places at once. We have already opened up applications to get more mods, and hopefully we'll be able to cover all grounds at some point. Alexa172001 a dit : My point is not invalid. This statement was not made specifically for you, it is made for all players. While we appreciate that you and your friends report players together so it actually shows up in our system, reality is that it is far less common than what people think. We log on to two reports made through the report system everyday. If people don't report anymore, how are we supposed to improve on dealing with reports? As Experiment_626 nicely said above, it really stems down to both mods and players working together. Now, as I already mentioned in my post above: if you have any other questions about the matter, please refer to the Staff FAQ or contact a moderator in private. Your next comment about the matter will be moderated since it does not include any valuable feedback. |

being honest, i have no idea why people are saying the report system is ineffective when i report someone, the matter is dealt with in a matter of 5-10 minutes, if not sooner than that the report system really does work, people just have to take the 10-15 seconds to use it and i agree with charlen and experiment, it in the end takes both mods and players working together. how can you expect mods do their part when players don't do their part? i'd like to understand why people think that way. people complain about mod inactivity and the report system not working, but as stated multiple times, there's private mods that can do the same as public mods, and the report system does work. i think having a report system is so much better than no report system, like how it was when i first joined back in 2012. |

Danielle a dit : Players stop doing their part when they realize that bans don't work. Even if a report is being handled, and even if a player gets banned, these players return time after time after time because they can evade bans so easily. So what is the point of reporting them if they just come back 2 minutes later to continue with what they were doing? If there's no moderator available to babysit a room, there's not much point in reporting at all. This isn't something that moderators can do anything about, but it explains why players are not bothered to use the report feature. |
2 | ||
Anythin a dit : i agree, that's not something moderators can do something about. if anything, admins need to do a better job of making sure people can't ban evade. even if bans don't work for long, it's better to report than doing nothing at all, and then yelling at the moderators for not doing anything, despite the fact it's out of their control. |
