offline friends still appear online even though they are not. The glitched names seem to be specific accounts, because not all friends (online or offline) are affected by it, not even after they logged in.

Each emote is intentionally at 36 fps speed. So, not a bug.

on the friends list it says that some people are online when they are not

Some of my friends have had luck deleting me (I'm one of the people who were online before the crash) and readding me again, and it fixed the glitch for them. I haven't tried it with my own glitched friends yet.
