Graecus - @2964959 . Okay, first review, so take it easy on me :P ![]() 1. The hole should be alligned with the ground. 2. In my opinion the mice have too much freedom, and the results is the sham getting 1 or 2 saves. I played this map in tribe-house and my friend automatically tried to pro it! To prevent this 1 or 2 save map; add a small amount of ice along the sides of the pillars. 3. Push the grounds - on the outside - right back to the edge of the screen, this will give sham more space, especially for newer players. 4. Too make the map a lil' spicier, put two ice grounds on each side of the cheese kinda of like in the pic below. ![]() 5. The map I made, in the pic is only to show you the possible improvements, obviously you're going to want to add Décor, maybe make it look nicer, etc. *Hugs* |

@851701 by Sapphiretnr Let's get started. First off, you said this map was a hide and seek map. Right off the bat, I can already tell this map is going to have a cluster of object spam in foreground in order to “hide” mice. And what do you know, I was right. ![]() I don’t see a way to make your map decent without completely restructuring it. Even then, the concept of hide and seek itself is flawed and just does not work in general, but let’s continue anyway starting fresh. Lets start off with the items. Do not spam items like above, especially in a compressed space. For starters, in a hide and seek map we need more room, so lets make it scrolling. Enter this code for a scrolling map: <C><P F="4" L="1600"/><Z><S /><D /><O /></Z></C> Remember, you can move around the map by holding the space bar and dragging the screen. Let’s also help you out with alignment.. create a ground, make the X 800 (middle of a scrolling map) and the length 1600 (length of a scrolling map.) I personally am a fan of using the rectangle ground so you can turn the ground black. Add the width you desire, I would use maybe 30-40, and position it downward just right. I also noticed that you have the word “base” written out. I don’t know why you want a base for Hide N Seek.. but it can add to one of the elements of hiding. Let’s start off with a better way of hiding. Instead of using items to hide the mouse, lets use grounds instead. First, take a rectangle ground and give it a length of 1600 by 400, X: 800 (middle) Y: -231. Then, you can create “pods” or any other type of contraption in black, then use more rectangle grounds that are lighter than the background color to fill it up. Then make all those ground foreground. What I’m talking about should, or could look something like this ![]() This way, mouses can see which parts of the map they can be hidden in. Now, back to the “Hide and Seek” topic. One of the reasons why this concept fails is that there really is no point. The mouse goes in, and then what? But I have an idea you can use. You can color code an area that is hidden, or give it a number for example, and then the mouse has to guess which color/number another mouse is in. That’s just an idea.. Here’s a quick map I made without using the number/color idea for your reference :) @2971403 If you need help putting the same stuff you put on one side of the map into the other, the easiest way is to take the middle of a scrolling map’s X coordinate (800) and subtract it with the ground your trying to replicate on the other side’s X. Take that value and add it to 800 once more, make it the same Y, and there you go. That’s if your original ground is on the left side. If you’re trying to replicate a ground from the right to the left, you take that ground’s X and subtract with 800. Then take that number and subtract from 800, and keep the Y the same on both grounds. Sorry If that’s confusing.. Hugs. Good luck to you, I look forward to your maps in the future! @2942417 by Tomdizzy ![]() Is that what you wanted to do? It seems more like a room shaman map than a P4 map. First thing, shaman is caged offscreen. I'm sure few map crew, if any, are willing to allow that in the rotation. Second, all shaman maps I know involve some building and plank/box-spawning. This one is quite unconventional indeed. Seems to me more like a "shaman practice" map, than a rotation map. Here's how I'd go about with the map. Try to solve it! LINK Hugs, etc~ |

I like the black one, however I have to agree with Dunald. That logo has nothing to do with the team, helping people, or even transformice, and I think that is needed. Just a suggestion. |

Yeah I suppose I'm going back on myself here but they do gotta point. It was nice of you to do it though. Catochi - @2960891 I liked the concept of putting trampoline ground in a Shaman map, I've seen it being done quite a bit recently, it gives a nice twist to the map. I also like the Hallowe'en Décor seen as it is that time of the year, although I'd advise change the background to "Full Moon" as "Dawn" doesnt give it it's full hallowe'en feel. I found this map difficult to impove without changing it some amount but I think I did a good enough job! ![]() Now, lets get going! First of all, I just want you to know a few things I've learned from my own mistakes. A lot of Map-Crew members dont like when maps have Hard-Mode gaps, it just shows the sham where to build. Secondly, it might just be me but some other Map-Crew members don't like it aswel, in a symmetrical map like this it's pointless have two cheeses, it looks ugly and works out nearly the same as having one cheese in the middle. Thirdly, you might be aware of this but you can reach the bottom ground, with the cheese, no shaman help, and then all the shaman is left to do is one or two planks for five or six saves. NOTE: It might not be easy to reach the bottom but it's worth the five minutes to fix it. Now, as I mentioned above Hard-Mode gaps "aren't always simled upon" you could say. Easy fixed though just remove one ground on both sides and allign the remaining two grounds with the trampoline grounds. [Seen in pic below] And the problem with reaching the bottom ground with cheese is also easily fixed. Just bring the trampoline ground right to the end of the grass grounds along the side, and put cheese in the middle, just under water. [Seen in pic below] Now obviously if the cheese is under the water its much too simple to complete the map. Sooo... we have to change the mouse spawn to the bottom ground under the cheese, just enough so the mice cant reach it. [Seen in pic below] I'd also make a cloud ground over the cheese to encourage the shaman to build the right way around the map. [Seen in pic below] Lastly the 45 degree trampoline spawn should be changed to a grass ground, slightly higher, and the hole can be placed there too. :3 ![]() Maybe your map might turn out something similiar to this ^ Also it only uses 10 grounds! :3 NOTE: I might have gone a bit crazy on the Décor, but you get the point. *Hugs awesome client* :P |
