Aren't there enough people to moderate EN/E2 ? There are literally 27 EN/E2 moderators + the hidden ones/ the moderators who have public accounts for no reason and use the hidden ones. You have too many moderators that some of them moderate the air. North didn't last for 5 months even and he probably left because there is actually nothing to do beside dealing with leve and the other communities reports. So what happened with the applying site that has been down for centuries? What happened to the "awareness of available staff positions" in smaller communities ? The staff team is in a laughable position and you need to get your priorities straight. This is not a hate comment more like my point of view regarding this never ending applications every now and then and not providing time for other communities. |

Darren_criss a dit : Kindly answer if you have been able to see several EN staff on at once. There is absolutely something to do at all times, I'm not sure how you would know of the behind the scenes workload. We are all adults and time can be limited. May it be because of school or work or both. I also don't understand your mentality of coming to us to complain about lack of staff in other communities, we don't understand those languages or don't frequent those servers to know who is or isn't capable in assisting. We don't manage the website either, we just manage ourselves and have been doing it since 2010. As has every other large community. EN has never promised to fix other communities. We made it known it is possible for those communities to reach out to any mod in that regard, but nothing past that. There is a whole different process for it. The apps are only opened twice a year too. It is more common for people to complain about the mods not being available to help versus you saying mods are too available. :P Dernière modification le 1547169000000 |

Darren_criss a dit : It's interesting that you believe you know everything that is happening behind the scenes! ^^; We could never have too many moderators. Darren_criss a dit : The application site is not our responsibility. If a player applies for EN/E2 and they are fluent in the language of a community that needs staff, we don't hesitate in reaching out to them about helping with that community, but there are many factors that go into the application process. It's rather difficult to find mature players from small communities that are 18+ years old. :( |

I am just saying that it would be appreciated. if you could contribute your time in finding staff in other smaller communities throughout making a thread about applying, and the procedures. Some communities do not have that in their forums. The staff wants people who are capable of speaking English thus the staff can write the topic in English. I do understand that is not part of the voluntary job you have applied for, but English and English 2 seems to have the most stable, and has the most quantity of the staff. Working on other projects including having staff in other communities ,and dealing with other communities applications might be part of your projects. The next point is, the fact that there are more than 27 moderators regardless of the situation that each one of them has right now. I participated in a voluntary job before, and we did have many people applying. But some of them were slacking off the work, and others were not interested at all. They either created excuses, or just do not come anymore. We had to cut the list short regardless of what each one is busy with. They can come back again when they are through with what keeps them busy. However, keeping them around ,and saying that they are busy with other stuff for over a month. This is not an excuse for not taking the measurements of someone who is busy or away from their voluntary work. It just puts more weight, and high expectations on the staff that could not be delivered which puts them in a disadvantage. My point is to cut the list short. We do understand, and we get it that some of them are busy. We are all humans, but putting them on an official list ,and having reports sent to some inactive staff who are inactive for a month. Would just put the player in a difficult situation by either waiting for an answer after god knows when ,or questioning the system of why there are too many afk staff. There are always adults who play this kind of games, and most of them are mature. Saying there are none is more of a sign that you guys gave up on this whole thing. It just gives a vibe of caring less about the other communities. Because everyone knows mature adults are in games as well. Not making announcements for over 2 years is more like the staff is showing us that you guys are not interested. As far as I know, the admins trust the staff in finding suitable candidates for that voluntary work. At the end, the Admins make the final call after the staff are done deliberatibg about the candidate. |

Darren_criss a dit : EN/E2 is one of the more active communities in game still. That is why we like as much support as possible in that server. And yes, some staff may be inactive in game (due to their own personal reasons), but that doesn't mean they don't assist in other situations as best as they can until they find more time to log in again. And each community handles their own inactive staff differently, it just isn't ignored if someone hasn't been around at all. And it really is not a matter of 'giving up' in terms of maturity. You are asking English speaking mods to contribute to communities we have 0% experience in and won't be able to tell who is mature or even of rightful age unless they reach out to us to ask or show interest in a position. You are right about us being just volunteers, and we volunteered to a very specific spot. We were chosen to help EN, the description didn't go past helping other staffless communities find competent staff, and I don't think any of us can be shamed for that. |
