Imo, I'd rather the Internation flag to be like A globe or cheese, and En2 to be the English Flag.

Makes more sense, honestly. Although, they are getting after people for speaking in other languages on EN1, too.

EN1 is primarily English, and yes players who speak other languages with a community can be kicked out. It isn't truly international, and it hasn't been for a long time.

I thought it became international when they created EN2? o.o

I guess EN2 is effectively useless then.

There are language filters on EN2 for players without a certain number of cheese, and other languages that don't have a community aren't allowed.

Hmm I see. Having enough cheese, in my opinion, isn't really a great way of filtering out people ;; but I guess it's something.
So if someone doesn't have a community that speaks their language, plays on EN1, and has a few friends that they play with that speak their own language on that server, hypothetically, would not be able to speak on any server? or...

If someone speaks in a language that doesn't have a community, they can speak it on EN. Or in their international room.

Is there a reason why it's only a certain number of cheese? Isn't setting a guideline kind of defeating the purpose of having a language filter in the first place?

I really don't know x.x I thought there wasn't a limit, but then I've seen players speaking other languages from foreign IPs, so...

Yeah, last I knew it was a 5,000 cheese requirement? Apparently with 5,000 cheese you gain knowledge in English!

Hmm, kicked out? Not truly international? Please read this:

EN1 will remain the international community with no filters, where everyone is still welcome. However, EN2 will become the official English community with language filters!

The Game Rules on the forums were updated recently, with the EN2 rules, and I noticed that EN1 hadn't changed.

Rules a dit :
-EN1 is considered an international community which means that players from all countries are allowed to play here. Moderators may warn or mute players that aren't speaking English only if they are severely disrupting the chat and they have a community they can return to. For the players that do not have a home community, we ask that you ignore them by typing /ignore (name).

So I asked about it, and apparently the rules are still the same. There are still no filters, so everyone can speak there. However, if a lot of foreign players who have their own community are flooding the room, they can be kicked out as before.

Just to get it clear, what is your definition of a lot? Two players? Three? Six? Ten? And more often than not players are advised to just ignore them rather than reporting them to a moderator...

On EN1, 2 people chatting occasionally won't get muted by me, I'll likely tell you to just /ignore them and carry on as really they're doing you no harm. If there are 2 people chatting every few seconds however and filling the chat then I would probably warn then mute them.

As you can see, it's subjective and there is no defining answer beyond the Moderator's judgement.

On EN2, any language that isn't English can be dealt with by a Moderator, I say *can* not *will* because in all honesty "wrong language" is a very petty complaint compared to hacker reports and many other problems. From my experience, the majority of EN players are very entitled and don't realise how good they've got it on their community. (Spend 2 weeks on BR/ES/TR and you get a good idea.)

There need to be automated scripts to prevent players that -excessively- use foreign languages from speaking in ENG2 official rooms, perhaps in ENG1 as well.

Not based on IP address, because there are english players in other countries, but pretty much auto-muting after 5 lines with foreign text.
