True, but there seems to be more girls. Unless the boys are actually girls, but wearing boy stuff.

The reason for (most) girls that join Transformice could be because of the cute graphics, but does not mean is meant for girls :/
But i cannot say 100% there are more girls then boys. Minigames like ffa (now Deathmath) , survivor, and others have kinda "attract" the male players? (and bootcamp)
I mean most of the lua coders are male (to me, TO ME :I) so...
Really, it depends how people look at transformice: a place to be creative or somewhere to make friends and look fashionable (?)

Well with this new gender update I think we are about to find out as for numbers that Is. If in general terms, any game could be played by both genders, It all really depends on if they would enjoy It or not which Is an opinion.

Okay I just found this now so I'm a little late to say this, but here I go:

If you click on your profile, you'll see a gender option. If you've never changed it, it will be set at nothing. I think the system calls you a "her" when no gender is set. I may be wrong, but after you set it to he, it should be fine.

(I was too lazy to read what everyone else has said so someone may have said this already.)

With the recent update now you can click on your profile and click Male* although the thing is not yet fixed. It will probably be not. I mean sadly 37% Of girls playing in TFM are lesbians so it might be only for girls. I guess we will just wait till a mod responses to this.

If Transformice was made specifically for girls it would be stupid. More males than females use the internet, let alone play games on it. Less players = less cash flow.

I'm pretty sure its for girls, wahooo!! lol.
