I don't like this new chat :/ I find it quite annoying...

The text bubbles were already distracting and constantly getting in the way for players both as a normal mouse and as the shaman. This update has made the problem much worse because it made the text bubbles even larger and more distracting. Had anyone actually been complaining about how they weren't visible enough?

I'm presuming why three letters were taken was due to the facts the longest usernames are 3 letters long.

._. Still an option to pick how many letters would be nice.

Also for the users with + before their name this gets even more awkward.

Anyways lots of people abbreviate him as paper and me as paper *i prefer papero* but yeah lol it's not much of a difference @-@

Okay just saying *well not my preference but maybe some other people's preferences* maybe they prefer being called something inside their name not just the first three letters or first few letters. *this is especially the case with people using sir*sometexthere* or that sort

What if we could choose what goes in the name box, like maybe a nickname instead of your proper username?

I don't like this update for most the same reasons everyone else mentioned. Its annoying when someone types a really long message and a huge bubble comes up. This can be bad for those annoying people who love to spam random giant messages over and over in the chat. I don't like how it only shows the first three letters of your name. I don't mind being called Ard or Arde most my friends call me that anyway, but for some people it might be something odd like random letters or could remind people of something inappropriate like people who have SHI, DIC, FUC etc. Also its just distracting during game play. I think this should be made optional.

You really should undo this update, I've a friend named Fukez...

I dislike these new updates that keep coming around recently. Its nice to know that the game is constantly being updated, but when the updates are not what the Transformice community wants: no thank you. I'm not going to comment about the user interface (The buttons to the home page, settings, and all that), as that is irrelevant to this thread's title, but I am going to rant on about this new chat thing.

The color of the chat bubble: Its not transparent enough, and its black. Black is a horrible color: it doesn't match with the interface at all. I preferred the old chat scheme. I can't count how many times someone has typed something on chat, and has then distracted me from playing the game. The color, its just so strong compared to the rest of the maps. Not a wise color choice.

Thank goodness the nicknames are going to be removed though. Its just... Unless you can pick your own nickname that is not a maximum 3 letter one, and that the nickname colors (colors! Again!) aren't so blinding, I think I'll pass.

I suggest that in the future, there be a "revert" settings option, so that users (mice!) will be able to change back to the old Transformice if they do not like the new updates.
