There was some analysis I made based on what I knew about the game and how it restricts videos, and seeing as vimeo is not popular and nekodancer has 1000 minimum views restrictions condensing our choices even more (a lot of the official songs have long filler intros and the ones that have had the fillers edited out have less than 1000 plays) nekodancer will probably die off quickly even if it doesn't shut down. I think people are sourcing from me (I've had people sourcing from my track editor topic and I removed all the content from it as a result)

In short, there is no source. Only detailed analysis that indicates it might not work. Hopefully there isn't that dumb views restriction if they decide to replace youtube on nekodancer with vimeo (though they will probably do it anyway to prevent the servers being clogged up with spam videos that are newer)

There was definitely quite a negative response from meli on twitter. There was a topic on nekodancer which people are sourcing and freaking out about. I do not know any sources for vimeo being a replacement to youtube (It was stated on that news topic but it was never publicly posted by meli).

Also I was thinking about this but now you'd have to form a team to determine if stuff is copyright or not, which is really tedious.
Plus how are you going to make it work in tribehouses? You'd need an interface to search for specific songs that are non copyright, and then vimeo to operate with copyrighted songs.

the thing about this is... out of all these years why did they shut it down now..? I love nekodancer.. and they finally notice that there was a problem. ok it would of been more helpful if youtube would of said this early because once this music rooms/ nekodancer it would of been more helpful because that means all these updates that transformice/nekodancer has been working on with these rooms and games have all this work done for no reason... this really makes me sad I cri :'(

But i'm just worried about vimeo being used. there aren't as many restrictions on there as youtube and this game is notorious for its community.
