I had kinda made a thread if this game is for all ages, for 13 and above, or only kids. But this is a shocking confusion-
Most mice in my thread said its for all ages. But I got really confused when this thread told me about the 13+ rule thing.

To be honest I read about half of this and laughed. This is an online game. People will talk how they please even if it breaks the rules. If you don't like the lack of respect report them. If they say something wrong report them. If you don't want to hang out with "kids" Make older friends on here. There is no true way to regulate how old a player is that plays on here. If it matters I'm 22. Mind you I do agree with what you say by how younger kids act compared to when I was young. But thats the norm now.

I heard it was supposed to be for children some years ago, but lately it became a game for teens. I didn't knew about the 13+ rule at all.

I may act childish and immature at times, but thats because theres always still a child in us and I always say "Act childish now you still can" because people are growing up, and when you are finally an adult you have to think about your work and more (unless you don't work).

I can act mature, but that's only when I want. But I do think there are too many people under the 13, though I don't mind the 11 year olds or 12. Under the 10 is too young, they should be playing outside (or something else not involved with the internet).

Though, does it matter that much? I mean, they are still kids so let them play. If you don't like them, just ignore them. And even if it's for 13+, they ignore the rules anyway (most) or they didn't knew about it.

That's not what I meant xD I mean like if you're 13 or younger they should block out the words for you but people who are older still get to see it.

those little kids are the worst, it's amazing how stupid you can be, I'm not saying all kids under the age of 13 are stupid, but the ones that are, are unbelievably so

One thing which I not failed to notice is that the culture is allot different in the US timezone than in the EU timezone. There are allot more conflicts and harsh langue after midnight GMT. EU time has it share of spammers and sexual herreasement for sure but the open conflict is much more commen during US timezone.
I have earlier tried to bring up the subject of missing respect amongst transformice players but was just sweept away as an internet thing. More drastic moderation will help some of the way but the culture change really needs to come from within.

I'm eleven, but I can be mature and it sickens me to look at the joke topics, such as ones about "Ebola" or "Pedophiles" or "Gay" or "Rape" and such, like you mentioned. Like, what's funny about these topics? it's hard to understand and rather sad.

But sometimes, yes, I am immature and people just don't know the truth about it and start to judge me. I'm still growing up, and I can still be a child when I still can. The past is in the past, and I am getting more and more mature as I go. Pretty much people under 13 are gonna post in the forums anyway and there is nothing we can do about it. Just let us be a child and stop judging. It is normal to act immature sometimes even though you are over 13/teen.

I'm easily offended so just reading the first post and some of the comments hurt me a bit. And I hate it when people call me immature because I don't act immature all the time.

I'm 13, and I've been told I act older than 13, but that's just nonsense. There is no set way my age acts, as said in the OP. Let kids say what they want, government is only hurting us.

It's not too many under-aged, really; it's too many immature people, whether they are under-aged or above 13.

And I can't stand how many people talk or joke about things like sex, and it's usually people under 13 years of age... I find it kind of sad that people so young are talking this way, y'know?

Makes me think what the parents of these kids are doing.
So young and already attached to the internet.

My opinion, if you are under 13 years, you should just stay off these kinds of sites.

I notice quite a bit of younger players when I'm playing, and sometimes it's just ridiculous. It almost reminds me of myself when I first joined in 2010 (I had turned 11 earlier that year) and it's kinda sad. The amount of vulgar language I ran into that year was shocking, but I knew I could handle it. However, I see this isn't the case with everyone that age. I usually run into the more reckless ones.

A good example would be my little brother. I'm fine with him playing, my only concern is that he picks up bad behavior easily. I learned that he went out of his way to disable the language filter himself.

All I can say is that we shouldn't resort to restricting older players for the comfort of the younger ones, like banning "inappropriate language" in general, but implement more safety features. Maybe have bad language censored for those who actually set their age under 13 and have it to where they can't disable it.

I don't really agree with you. I mean yes, there is a 13+ rule, but admins and mods know about the fact that nobody respects it, and it seems they don't have a problem. There's nothing we can do anyways...
I am 12. Yes, sometimes I start nonsense fights and useless insults, but I never got involved into this thing with "rape jokes". And since parents can't monitorize their children, it's not our job to. The parents will take the consequences, not us. And if there's a gross player doing this joke, you can simply call a mod or leave the room, or go to another side of the room. Or also, if the person is able to understand like a normal person, you could simply talk to him/her and ask her/him to stop.
Me, my little 8 year old brother and 6 year old sister play this game. I haven't noticed any problems with their behaviour, neither with mine. I didn't even use language filter to stop them. Our parents said it clearly: if they see any type of cussing or abusive action we do, the Internet gets shut off and we don't have access to this game anymore. NEVER. That's how a caring parent should monitorize the children.
Also our mom and dad check on us every 15 minutes or so. They don't stare desperately at the screen. They take a short look, read about what's going on and leave. And if my mom sees someone ELSE is being gross, NOT me, she simply asks me to change the room, which I do.
So that's why I don't really think it's our job to monitorize these children. This game was created for teenagers(I know I'm not one) and if you aren't mature and responsible enough to play it, it's your own problem and you will take the consequences, not someone else. The admins created the game to have fun and discuss, not to do useless jokes.

The main idea is that it's parents' job to monitorize and look out for their children, and if they find the children not responsible enough to play, they should simply take action immediately.
