To me, there's nothing that can beat the combo of artrage and a drawing tablet.

Autodesk Sketchbook Mobile v2 on my phone.

Coming from someone who is not an artist, it is really quite useful. Although, it could use some features like being able change the canvas size. A lasso would also be nice.

Yeah, I have a stylus for my phone, which helps dramatically. It especially helped when they added a feature you can enable that makes it so your fingers don't draw, but only manipulate the zoom and pan.
