Oh ok, I just read the comments... I do not own an amazing computer and even I would give a crap if I played with those graphics. So what you are saying is to never ever change the graphics? Booo!

Personally,

This type of thing is good in theory, but not often in practice. It would look quite nice, and even having a option to set graphic setting would be awesome.

However, (this is where people hate me)

Essentually what you are suggesting, would require the art department to essentually redo every single graphic for the game. Just doing the floors and backgrounds will leave mice out of place and looking tacky. You would need to redo the entire thing, including every item.

"Sure that sounds great" - But it's not. It would months and months for the art department to pull off such a stunt, not to mention it's possible some of the artists involved with Atelier801 may not be capable of such an overhaul. It would take a lot of time and resources to pull off which is something most game companies don't have the money or time to do.

You also face the reality that not everyone is going to agree with such a change. Atelier801 can potentially lose customers and support by changing the default values of the game be it mechanics or graphics. Not a risk a company would usually make.

So with that being said,

Even setting aside the whole lag part of this...

It's really cluttered in what you have depicted, and that's one of the simpler maps.

I think that simple in this case is just better.

I'd rather have the option under settings to make your gameplay more HD. On the browser imo, its a little more HD than the stand-alone or Steam version of Transformice.
