Hope it's better than this teaser looked. I was not very impressed with the teaser.

The teaser is a teaser, and can be surely improved. I've seen a bit of the products from crossriver and some of them are quite nice actuually, (I like the style of some of them (Minigobz is kinda cute).
As far as I've seen Crossriver is a small company, surely it's not Fox Animations, and the have to do all the work alone, so 3d is maybe the fastest way to get the job done, the animation made for TFM trailer is way bettter, but a 5 minutes episode would take way too much time to be done in 2d :-\, with 3d models it's faster.

I'm sure incorporating bones in a 2D series wouldn't make it much more difficult.

It was announced this morning though.

And to answer your question, there's a teaser for an upcoming Transformice cartoon series. Meli will be providing more info as the summer progresses. It's 3D animated and the companies behind it are Cross River Productions and Believe Digital Studios.

Am I the only one who thinks it's okay?
But I'd prefer the other way of animation, not 3D modelling, ya know, anime-ish?

As Meli has repeated many times, Atelier801 aren't in charge of the show itself, they don't have the rights to manage it as Cross River and Believe Studios are holding the show. The 3D modelling is only because of the budget the producers have, but it will be made as 2D as possible.

Who knows? Maybe when the company itself has enough money to produce a popular series itself it'd involve Meli's wonderful style.

Teasers are different to trailers, so as the days go by and the release is sooner, they'll probably release extra details so it can keep everyone intrigued.

I'm just staring in awe while watching the teaser. This looks okay, but I don't think this will wow me when the first episode is released.

Fair point, but it looks nice enough,,, I do agree, Meli's art would be better for animation but I guess we'll have to wait and see what appears in the future!!

I was thinking about this 3D art style and thought - haven't any of you watched tv shows like Storm Hawks (or Slugterra)? They are made in 3D but look very cartoonish and they look good. There is hope for those who prefer 2D ^^

Seeing the unnecessarily harsh comments on the first few pages was kind of disappointing but I am glad it all got cleared up on page 3. While I do agree that it would have looked better in 2D (if more money was available), I think the cartoon is an interesting concept and it is not going to hurt the users at all. Good thing you're not going to be forced to watch it in case you really do hate the show, right? I personally see it as a creative way of getting Atelier801 out there, which is exactly what their aim should be (alongside fixing bugs, yeah yeah I know).

Creating the cartoon series was a good idea and all but imo the result might not turn out to be satisfying according to what I saw in that video. Not going to make any harsh comments bashing Atelier801 because it seems like they put so much effort to it plus I'm a nice person but maybe just maybe they could have made that teaser a little.. better?
