maybe this thread should be for more new ish artists to help them practice different sort of themes? and the more experienced could enter every once in a while? i would add that they wont be able to be voted but then it sounds unfair... or maybe we seperate the art battle into 2 groups?? idk i dont want to sound mean..

Sounds fantastic but it would be hard to keep track whose on what team and whose on the other
(I thought about teams until I realized that I wouldn't be able to keep up with it)
Voting sounds unfair, I completely understand but I guess I can change that rule and only me and the helpers can choose who won
And specifically this thread isn't based on drawing skills
It's mostly about challenges and creativity

oh maybe there could be separate levels(?) for the topic given
so like there'll be a beginners level for only beginner artists, intermediate level for intermediate artists and maybe even
advanced level for like really good artists? but the topic will still be the same for all of them. it's just that artists within their level will vs. each other

Teams meaning the experienced artists would be one team and get a different voting system than the beginning artists. Both would have the same theme, just different voting.

Example:

Team 1:
Winterflurry
Xprincessj
Broncosfan
Prooskiller

Team 2:
Shardpixel
Sirusthemice
Manicmondayy
Amusing

Team 1 would be considered the "Rookie Artists" and Team 2 are the "Experienced Artists."

If you want, I can categorize the artists into the 2 groups for a more fair voting, that way one artist from each group gets a win once in a while.

Btw, sorry for my complaining. I am technically new to this kind of art and it really does seem unfair when people who have been doing this for years win.

Editing on a phone/tablet is hard , so once I get the chane I will edit the introduction and other stuff on computer

And I'm thinking since there would be teams, both teams have to select two drawings from their own/team and post it onto here (they specifically have to agree on it though) but if they like, they can pick of their team members submittion
But I'm kind of confused, what about the players who are suddenly joining? Do they join a specific team or do they act like one player?

I would assume they would join whichever team they would categorize in.

Maybe we should do 3 teams: Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced.
That way some people don't have to feel like they work too hard to be in a lower group or some people don't feel they are good enough for a particular group.

But yes, everyone does the same theme. I like your idea, that each team votes 2 drawings and then EVERYONE votes on those 2 drawings.
Like I said, I'm willing to be in charge of making the teams. For now, I'd like whoever is actually drawing and wanting to be on the teams to just randomly submit a drawing of theirs (no particular theme) to my inbox so I can start making teams.

This all honestly sounds like a bad idea.
Take contests for an example. They aren't categorized into "different levels of experience" or anything.
You are judged by creativity, effort, and what the judges believe deserves to win. If you've seen the contests around here in the past, "the best, most fantabulous artists with perfect anatomy and style" don't always win.
Also, how are you going to determine the level of an artist?? People are talking here like me and some other artists here are perfect experts.
I'm a beginner who has never set foot in an art school and knows absolutely little to nothing about proper anatomy and proportions. Everyone should be able to participate in the same thing without fingers being pointed and people being punished for "having better art than others"

Yes, I'm saying I'm a bit jealous. There are people on here that pour their hearts into their art, yet get little to no recognition at all for their hard work. Yet, there's people on here that get alot of attention and whatnot.

Maybe some of you don't see it because you don't believe you deserve it, but take a good look at some people's threads and stuff. So much heart and thought poured into art, and no pats on the back or even a batted eye for them.

I think this thread should be for those who don't get hardly any recognition for their hard work. That way they can learn and improve.

but everyone i watch on youtube i think it will be easy to copy their art and be an artist but it didn't work
but one day i sure don't need more ''pratice'' words right in my face
just leave me alone without any ''pratice'' words because IM better without them...
i can just not pratice and just.. trace and free hand copy and then draw on my own... thats easy right?...

So... This thread should be for "beginners and neglected artists only" (however the fuck you gauge that) and exclude artists who are "so pro and so loved"
So just because I happened to be friendly enough for nearly two years on here and just because people decided to give my thread more attention than some other artists', that means I can't participate?? ...What??
I'm actually an extremely jealous person, Bronco. I get where you come from. But do you think me and other artists just have an idea pop into their heads and five minutes later have a masterpiece in front of them??
It's trial and failure. Just like you, we don't just slap a few strokes on a canvas and make art. We try.
And how do you think we came to be "so pro" anyway?? (using that term loosely because again--not me) Do you know how much time some of us have spent observing, tweaking, and practicing? All of us "pour our hearts into their art" as well.

No one should be excluded because of elements they can't control
