Now that you said it, it sure doesn't affect at all to have #0000 since it's kind of useless other players will have #9354 but the main one will stay without any tags or numbers

Suggestions for the discussion:
1. The name color is a little too much, as it would totally deny the actual fact we are going here. The numbers are fine, but won't users find colored usernames more pleasing than normal? So, of course, that kind of ruins the original purpose. So I don't support that.
2. Only for original usernames: Watch and Whisper doesn't need the identity number, because it is quite annoying...
3. Lastly, original users numbers should be seen only in some cases:
(i) When an original user has a soulmate whose name is the same,
(ii) When a user friends the original username and the same username, this will be highlighted in the friendslist to avoid confusion.
4. PS I like the * and #s suggestion, because that makes everything simpler but isn't it the same as having a tag? ?-? Well confusion, confusion.

/Support Just remove the numbers to show they have original names. No point in having the numbers there if other players will have an identity number. Just dont put a number to an old account. This feels like a concentration camp. Just keep the original players to having normal names before update.

I do not think this is possible to implement since the game now identifies people by their username AND tag number instead of just the username. What this does is it prevents the game from accidentally identifying one account to another with the same name, so without the tag number, the game will have a hard time trying to figure out which [username] you are.

Imagine having 5 people with the name "John" in one room -- by just saying "Hey John" without any actual additional information such as a last name, they will just get confused because they don't know who you're trying to talk to. I will have to say no to this suggestion because I do not think it is worth changing an entire system based around people not wanting a tag number like the rest of us.

Won't only one of them have #0000? Before the update, you could not have nicknames that were taken, soo the other Johns would have hashtags.
