I know this will help younger kids play the game without having to hear any swear words and such, but can't you see? Transformice is supposed to be a game for 13+ . I am trying my best trying not to tell anything harsh but.... Transformice was not created by the same people who made animal jam.But,just incase the admins decided to make a child-friendly mode... I just have another way of saying it,
you could go to options and there will be a section called "Child-friendly" mode over there, the options are :
*Turn chat On/off
*Turn filter On/off
*Can see other mice On/off (Just incase other mice does something.... ya know, that stuff.
(There could be more, these are all i got right now )
Also, there could be child friendly mini-games as well.

Oh right, once you turn child friendly mode on you have to go to your email and verify so that you can turn it off ;)

This game is meant to be 13+ year of age anyways.
"By creating an Account or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you are at least age 13 and agree to these Terms, or that you are under 13 years of age and your parents or legal guardian have read and agreed to these Terms, and you understand and agree that we are relying upon that representation in allowing you to use the Service."
13+ years of age should be mature enough. There is language filter in the settings.

i'm no supporting this purely because it's being suggested as a different mode. I have supported (ALL THE SUPPORTS) the "block all chat" suggestion which i feel has been touched on here, and i also support a stronger/better swear filter, but bundling them up in a "kid friendly" mode is pointless.

labeling something as "kid friendly" and then not restricting who can go there is a recipe for disaster. As said before it's a red flag for pervs and trolls. Think about all the people who (don't know how to set up a passweorded room and..) make a room called "no-one come here" or "just me and koala" As soon as that room is on the list it gets flooded with trolls who are going there purely cos the title of the room tells thm not to. If there was a "kid friendly" mode people who deliberatly wanted to troll, influence, and annoy kids would go there first. People who wanted to corrupt kids into swearing would go there and find ways around the chat filter etc.

Thats basically true. Most children on here LOVE swearing, its usually around the age of 9 or 10 they love to start swearing alot. This game IS 13+, but I don't see why youngsters still play it..

A few years ago, I always saw other children swearing on transformice. I never did.

Sometimes, the language filter might not be enough, some people might spell a swear word in a different way, for example,

I think there should be parental controls and/or a stronger filter. My cousin who was around 8 at the time use to play this game and I'd always make sure chat filter was always on but sometimes he'd see some words slip through the filter because the filter didn't recognize it. It wouldn't hurt anyone so I don't see why not, if you choose to leave the filter off then it won't affect you at all. I also don't see why people would /unsupport just because people would get around the filter, I think that's more reason to strengthen the filter, and besides, if you wanted to get around the filter you could just turn it off, then the people who don't want to see it don't have to. As of right now the filter isn't enough because my cousin was still able to see some cursing.

Tfm should ask new players their age when they are making an account that players in a certain age may trigger something that is not really removing the chat for them, but separate them from older players. When they get older, they should be able to join our stuff
