Keep the "Hall of Fame" the way it is, and just add the winner and their art each round.

Maybe people vote on their favourite artists because they're, well, their favourite? And they like their style/art? It's not a popularity thing, it's a "this is aesthetically pleasing to me" thing. It's the same as preferring one colour to another. It's not because that colour is more "popular," it's because they like it more.

We used to have the whole "vote on the art and not the person" thing on CFM when I was a mod. We'd receive Imgur album, and were told to pick three pieces in order.
But you were still able tell who drew it based on their styles. For example, Matiascp (who entered regularly) had a very distinct style in his art. It was clear to see when he would draw a piece.
So even if you didn't include names, style can still easily be told.
And if a vote is given to a person because they like the style, and that person who is more "skilled" will win, what do you suggest next to allow ~worse~ artists a ~fair chance~?

The whole concept of this thread is just asking for trouble, and all this in-fighting will have scared off a good amount of participants.
Also, sorry for my input, but since this is apparently a public thing since it wasn't taken to PMs, thought I'd give an outsider's opinion. :P

Not saying that people can't vote for their favorite artists. Like I mentioned before, if the picture is just put in voting, we can distinctly tell who drew what but would be on the art, not just the person.

What Birdluv was saying is that she liked the system where people can vote for the more popular artists. How I understood it was that if people vote for the already popular artists, it wouldn't give a chance to newer artists.

Anyway, I do agree with you Haru.

My point was styles are easy to tell and they'll be able to see the "more famous" artist's style. :P

Some are very similar too. Lol
But yeah, if the style is recognizable I'm sure it would get first priority over someone else's.
Still, I think that just pictures are better than names.

Since most "contests" on here and CFM require you to submit your work through PM, maybe we should do that.

It probably doesn't.
I asked Winterflurry to add that bit of info into the op and whenever a new theme comes out that way people know.
Inboxes wouldn't get "spammed" by doing this. However, instead of people being able to submit 5 arts, I think it should just be 1. Either that or submit all their art at one time. That way they have all week to work on it and post all artwork in the same message.

If people submit 5 arts all at different times, that's when things can get a bit wild in one's inbox. If this makes sense. :/

Just a quick question, but do you think it would be a good idea to have the theme last 2 weeks instead of 1 week? Seems kind of long, I know; but it also gives the school kids extra time instead of scrambling for something at the last minute.

Why not have a separate account to receive PMs like CFM
