Is this a new thing? I haven't seen this until now. (exception for P3) Either way then yeah the suggestion would be meaningless

Anythin a dit :
I'm talking about for example this and this or this with the sub "No longer in discussion" or "these maps are now permed". This only applies to submitted maps though. It also looks like this section isn't added to reviews consistently.

I did not see this in the latest reviews, but if it had would be great

Mapcrews could make a new topic on Map submissions "Maps in discussion" so that the players know if their maps are still in discussion or have already been rejected.

I see where you are coming from and I can understand the reason you would want this, but it seems like a lot of work for such a small benefit. Personally I would be less willing to go through archiving survivor discussions if I knew I also had to update an external thread, and the system could easily cause a ruckus if a single person forgets to change a single map. It is much easier (in survivor at least) to /info @code while logged in to check if a discussion map has been moved to P10, P24, or P22 (discussion maps are left in P20) than to check a thread in the forums. Maybe in rotation it is different though, since maps are left as P1 during discussion and often are kept in this category once the discussion ends.

In short, I do not see a significant benefit, only more workload to an already lazy team, and I would not employ this into survivor but the rotation crew would have to give you an answer for P4-P9 maps.

Hello, I have a question, I've made a map to Survivor (P10) but to give a better gameplay I use L="900". Then I asked to a mapcrew he said he was pretty sure its not allowed the other one said he didn't know. Well if its not allowed why it isn't at "About P10" (thread or Map Category definitions). Other thing is: if you open the Brazilian version of Map Category Definitions and Submissions Rules the links have some errors:
http://image.prntscr.com/image/f49c01c9b70d4954b482b0205f5fb282.png

and its not update look at this:

I think here is the best place to those questions. Thanks ^^

I will wait for a survivor nob to answer your question about scrolling maps but thank you for calling my attention to the mistakes in translation, this is my fault.

The problem is that the rules have gone through several revisions, so a few times I have forgotten to update some of the languages when the rules change. I will fix the survivor thread rules for Portuguese and make sure they are correct in other languages. If you find any errors in the other threads just let me know.

Edit: Oh wow yeah, I screwed up really bad ahaha. The "Map Category Rules and Submissions" thread says 5 maps, the OP of the P10 thread says 3 maps in English, and it says 1 map in Portuguese. I guess this goes to prove that nobody reads the rules threads.

Thank you, but, the P10 submission thread is correct the Map Category Definitions and Submission Rules isn't.
By the way, there was something there before, right?

That bug is "normal." When we used the flash forum I had one of my bots directly edit the post with the new information because I was still a mod/sent at the time. Since it is a locked and stickied thread, I can't edit that post now with my normal player account so I update the info on a dynamically-generated PHP image. Sometimes either the server that hosts that image or the dropbox that hosts the data encounters and issue, and the image will fail to generate.

When that image is broken, the links on the post below it will be broken too since they are hosted on the same server (Micetigri is hosted on the same server too, so that will be down as well).

The issue will correct itself later. In the meantime if you want to see where the most recent review is or want a link to it, you can /c Mapdrawbot review p#

A little while back I was busy and couldn't do the racing review, so I found a couple racers to help me out and made a simple map loader to make it easier for them. Maybe some of you other nobs will find it useful too, particularly if reviewing maps for a minigame. I'm not going to give this its own thread because I don't really plan on updating it or adding any features.

Using it is simple:
  • Copy all the map codes you want to load from to your clipboard before opening the program. It will add them to the list when you open it.
  • Use the hotkeys provided to load the maps.
  • Note: Since the server sucks, you will have to press PageDown to play the next map, then likely press INSERT a couple times to reload the map until it appears
  • Pressing DEL will add the map to a list, and you can copy that list to the clipboard when you're done
  • It will alternate between !np and !map if you're using it in utility, to avoid the "Your last message is the same." message.
  • Make sure the focus is in the game when pressing a hotkey, not the chat box. It will send the enter key automatically to focus on the chat when sending commands.

If you meant you gave a ground a length of 900 then as long as offscreen gameplay is not a problem, it does not matter. If you meant you made the map a scroll map, this is also technically not against the rules, but it is highly discouraged because making a map with such properties is very difficult to get right in survivor. It is fundamental to make sure the mice have full control over themselves in survivor, so if in part of the map they move across the screen, whereas in another part their mouse is centered on the screen, it is quite confusing (plus, moving in a scrolling part is quite distracting to begin with). If the shaman does not have full screen/has a small enough screen, then they cannot see all mice at all times, which is another problem.

Are you following the instructions correctly? The map codes need to be on your clipboard (ctrl+c) BEFORE you open the program.

I know him, those two accounts are owned by the same person. I'll remove one of these maps. Thanks for letting me know.
