Will having the "lead cannonball" (makes your cannons heavier) skill in the Mechanician tree decrease the speed of the cannonballs? |

Miss_valentina a dit : Some threads you should check out: https://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=600179&p=1 https://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=873650&p=1 https://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=850204&p=1 Fem31415 a dit : https://transformice.fandom.com/wiki/Lead_Cannonball Lead Cannonball is a passive skill on the Mechanician skill tree that increases the cannonball's weight by 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100%. One use for this skill is to weigh down a balloon or bubble a lot more effectively than a normal cannonball or anvil would. |

Barberserk a dit : Thanks for your response! I understand that the skill makes cannons heavier, but I don't know if the weight of the cannon affects its speed. For example: A normal cannon takes 2 seconds to go from point A to point B. In that case, will a cannon affected by Lead Cannonball take 4 seconds (longer) to reach Point B, not reach Point B at all (due to the weight slowing down its trajectory), or still take 2 seconds? Add-on question: How much will each increment of the lead cannonball passive affect the cannonball? (ex. How much does 20% affect the cannonball vs 40%, and does that effect stay the same [so it would be linear] or become exponential?) Dernière modification le 1604440140000 |

This depends on the physics implemented on TFM. In the real world it might work like you say, but in game... I don't know for sure. I think the speed is the same but the force stronger. Someone with more experience with the game's code should answer, or someone with points in this skill, I don't use it. Dernière modification le 1604442240000 |

Fem31415 a dit : Sup! The lead cannon does NOT affect speed of the cannon, it will still have the same speed, just more weight, so a bigger drop rate! |

Purple_days a dit : Oh neat, thanks! Just to confirm, this means that the cannon will not reach Point B at all in the above scenario? |

Fem31415 a dit : Depends on how far point B is, and how high you shoot the cannon! |

I think he means, if the angle of shooting remains exactly the same and you change the weight of the cannon, will it fall earlier, before reaching the pointed spot? I believe yes, since it's heavier. Its speed will remain the same though. Well it needs to be tested, we have to find a person with points in the skill and one without. |

Barberserk a dit : I have 100% on lead cannonball, we could try it out with someone who doesn't have it at all. |

Irunalone a dit : You were the first one I thought, yeah. We'll do it sooner or later and report our finds. |

Fem31415 a dit : After a lot of testing today, we found out that the lead cannonball skill currently has no effect whatsoever. I reported it as a bug. |

Yes, as far as the landing of the cannonball is concerned, there is no effect on it from this skill, the cannonball drops at the same place with the same speed too, with and without 5 points in the lead skill. And the power of the cannoball seems the same really, from our tests. Same force, same speed... We could really not find any noticeable difference, perhaps with more testing... |
